RENOVO — The Renovo Community Trade Association (RCTA) began a facade grant in 2025 for member businesses in the Renovo region. The grant reimburses businesses and organizations up to $1,000 for improvements to their storefronts. Improvements can include but are not limited to ADA compliance, signage and overall street facing improvements.
Recently, two businesses completed their projects and received their reimbursement from the RCTA.
Murgas Security, located on 5th Street in Renovo Borough, utilized the grant to replace second floor street facing windows that were in disrepair. Owner Steve Murgas has dedicated much time and money to revitalizing the building to include not only his business but also create a co-working space on the first and second floor that provides small businesses and/or organizations an opportunity to rent desk space to operate without the overhead. The space offers desks, computers, phones, a meeting room and a kitchenette.
Kira Rosamilia, owner of The Rosebriar Inn on Kettle Creek located on the Renovo Road in Westport purchased new doors for the rooms at the Inn. The Rosamilia family has spent considerable time and money on remodeling all of the rooms of the inn and updating the inground pool, as well as providing visitors and diners delicious meals.
The RCTA invites any and all businesses to apply for the facade grant. Applications can be requested by emailing renovocta@gmail.com.
