LOCK HAVEN — Back by popular demand, the Rockin’ the Red Barn kicks off the 2026 LH JAMS festival for the second year in a row!
The concert will take place on Thursday, Aug. 6 with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show running from 7 to 10 p.m. at 1900 Red Barn, 652 Island Road, Lock Haven.
This year is the 11th anniversary so the Clinton County Arts Council, which organizes the event, is celebrating in style.
A portion of the proceeds benefit the Jeff Gummo/CCAC scholarship for the Arts and our Uptown Music Collective Sponsorship.
This event will feature the dynamic James Supra Band. James puts his own spin on classic rock and blues covers including hits by Jethro Tull, WAR, U2, The Doobie Brothers and many more. Sit back and listen to Low Rider and get your funk on or listen to the classic intro of Locomotive Breath as it builds to one of rock’s most famous anthems!
Shoop’s charcuterie will be served and is included with your ticket.
Refreshments are “on tap” at the cash bar as the official brewery of LH JAMS, Straub Brewery, will serve a selection of their beers, along with wine service by Oregon Hill Winery.
James Supra’s blues harmonica and vocal prowess is legendary in the world of rock and blues. For almost 40 years he has been playing harmonica with variations of his own bands and sharing the stage in the U.S. and abroad with blues notables as diverse as B.B. King, Catfish Hodge, Mike Dugan, Lonnie Brooks, Jason Ricci And Carey Bell. He has won Best Harmonica Player honors in a 19 year LVMA (Lehigh Valley Music Awards) streak before refusing further nominations and earning the first LVMA Legacy Award.
James’s other LVMA multiple year (Fan and Industry) awards have also included Best All Around Performer and Best Blues Band.
Supra’s discography includes “Hard Times” (2005) with Craig Thatcher and several Mike Dugan recordings. His own recordings, including “Tip My Hat to the Maker” which won the World of Harmonica’s Best Album of 2012.
While Supra has immense appreciation for “so many great harmonica players in the world,” he attributes his biggest influences to Muddy Waters and Jason Ricci. Those influences have helped Supra create his own contemporary blues style which has been best described as “very high energy harmonica and guitar driven blues rock.”
