MACKEYVILLE -- This year the Clinton County Fair Princess Contest has several beautiful young ladies who will be vying for a crown and for the title of "princess" in each of five age categories.
The contest gets underway at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 2, at the main stage.
Twenty-one girls ranging in age from 3-15 will perform in front of a panel of judges and will be scored on their personal introduction, personality, dress wear and fun outfit, while responding to an open ended question.
There is also an optional talent category with lots of dancing, singing and jokes to be told with one winner per age group selected.
A princess will be crowned in each of the age groups along with two being named as runner-ups.
The age group divisions are:
Tiny Tot Princess -- ages 3-5
Little Miss Princess -- ages 6-8
Miss Princess -- ages 9-11
Junior Princess -- ages 13-15
Sponsors for the event include Big Spring Farm, Signs and Designs of Mill Hall and Courter's Cut Flowers.
