2026 Clinton County Fair packs in eight days of fun; Week-long event kicks off with opening ceremonies today; queen contest

MACKEYVILLE -- A week packed full of fun starts today as the 53rd Clinton County Fair kicks off at the Fairgrounds in Mackeyville!
This year's Fair runs through next Saturday, Aug. 8, and each of the eight days promises something for everyone, from rides, livestock shows and auctions, games, vendors, and exhibits, to a variety of entertainment.
Saturday, Aug. 1
The weekend begins early today as people make their way to the fairgrounds to register their vegetables, antique tractors and other exhibits, which will be shown all week.
A 4-H Horse and Pony Round-Up gets underway at 8 a.m. this morning, followed by the Open Rabbit Show at 9 a.m.
A Classic and Custom Car and Truck Show is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, and a Lawn & Garden Tractor Pull begins at 1 p.m.
The official opening ceremony for the 2026 Clinton County Fair takes place at 3 p.m. today at the Main Stage Pavilion, followed by the crowning of the 2026 Clinton County Fair Queen.
Saturday afternoon activities also include a Chili Cook-Off, starting at 3:30 p.m.; a baked goods auction at 5:30 p.m., and the annual Bill's Happy Camper Horseshoe Tournament, which gets underway at 6 p.m.
Local gospel group Fishers of Men takes to the Auxiliary Stage for a 7 p.m. performance. The five-member band includes Kim Barner, Dawn Jeffries, Phil Reeder, Mark Krauss, and Bryan Boone.
Also at 7, the Clinton County Speedway racetrack comes alive with a Figure Eight & Demolition Derby.
The daily Fair activities wrap up around 9:30 p.m. with a drawing for bicycles. There will be eight days of the nightly drawings, and you must be present to win!
Sunday, Aug. 2
Sunday morning at the Fair begins with an 8:30 a.m. worship service, conducted by Bradley Strange of the Loganton Wesleyan Church.
At 9 a.m., there's the Open Pleasure Horse Show.
The always entertaining Little Princess Contest gets underway at 10:30 a.m. at the Main Stage Pavilion.
The Clinton County 4-H and Future Farmers of America (FFA) Beef and Dairy Show begins at noon on Sunday.
The annual Cornhole Tournament gets underway at 3 p.m. Sunday; and there's 4×4 Truck, Street and Hot Classes pulling at the Fairgrounds pulling track starting at 6 p.m.
Also at 6 is the Clinton County 4-H and FFA Poultry Meat Bird Show.
At 7:30 p.m. Sunday, local duo 2 A.M. -- Autumn and Mitch Gavlock -- takes to the Auxiliary Stage for a performance.
The 9:30 p.m. nightly drawing for bicycles wraps up day two of the Clinton County Fair.
All Week at the Fair
In addition to the many scheduled events and activities, the 4-H and Open Exhibit Building and the Commercial Building are open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during this year's Fair. People are invited to browse through the many exhibits, talk with vendors, and enjoy 4-H and Master Gardener displays.
Ron Beck is back at this year's Fair with his baby animals -- check out the piglets, lambs and more at the South Side of the Fairgrounds Dairy Barn.
Amusement rides will run all eight days of the Fair from 5 p.m. until close each day. In addition, the rides will be up and running on Kiddies Day, Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m., and again on the final day of the Fair, Saturday, Aug. 8, from 1-4 p.m.
