LOCK HAVEN -- Though the threats of bad weather loomed for much of the day, that didn't stop hundreds from enjoying the 11th Annual LH Jams Music and Arts Festival in downtown Lock Haven -- and the weather even held, despite the forecast.
The event, organized each year by the Clinton County Arts Council, features three days worth of unique, live music performances leading up to the all-day festival.
It kicked off Thursday with a fundraising concert featuring The James Supra Band at 1900 Red Barn. Rockin' the Red Barn serves as a way to raise funding for the Jeff Gummo CCAC Scholarship for the Arts and the arts council's youth programs.
Following Thursday's concert was the annual Block Party in downtown Lock Haven on Friday night.
The night featured performances from State College-based bands Ted McCloskey and the Hi Fis and Velveeta from 6 to 10:30 p.m.
Saturday's event saw performances beginning at noon and continuing until 10:30 p.m., featuring six bands.
From local talents such as the Central Mountain Jazz Cats to New York based bands like Baby Soda and Philadelphia-based Fishtown funk and soul band, The Groove Merchants, Saturday proved to be filled with music from across the board.
The festival closed out with two bands: Diana Jacobs Band, a 10-piece pop and blues band from Upstate New York; and New York City's own EpicSoul, another 10-piece premier party band.
The last performance of the festival is the Clinton County Arts Council's annual collaboration with the city's Lock Haven Summer Concert Series in order to bring outstanding cultural entertainers to Central Pa.
Outside of the main stages, attendees enjoyed a number of strolling minstrels who could be seen weaving in and out of the festival, even popping into local businesses and restaurants. Many of these performers were featured on LH Jams' newest venue, the Quiet Stage, in the East Main Street parking area.
Craft vendors and exhibitors were set up throughout the event with a car show being included for spectators enjoyment.
