Princesses crowned at Clinton County Fair

MACKEYVILLE -- The 53rd annual Clinton County Fair earned even more royalty this week as multiple girls competed in the fair princess contests.

The contest took place at the start of fair week on Sunday, and saw 21 girls running from ages 3 to 15 perform in front of a panel of judges.

Each contestant was scored on their personal introduction, personality, dress wear and fun outfit while responding to open ended questions.

Some even had the opportunity to showcase a special talent.

The following kids were crowned in each of the four age group divisions:

TINY TOT PRINCESS

Ages 3 to 5

Tulsa Tomaini was named Tiny Tot Princess following the contest. Cohen Peddigree was named first runner up and Josie Brunner was named second runner up. Meanwhile, Melayna Haines received the best talent recognition.

"Congratulations to all 21 amazing contestants! The courage these girls have to come on stage in front of a full audience is incredible," the contest organizers stated.

Sponsors for the event include Big Spring Farm, Signs and Designs of Mill Hall and Courter's Cut Flowers.

LITTLE MISS PRINCESS

Ages 6 to 8

Remington Young was crowned Little Miss Princess, with Renley Reed named first runner up and Kendalyn Zerby named second runner up. Zerby also was celebrated for best talent.

MISS PRINCESS

Ages 9 to 11

Brooklyn Haagen was crowned Miss Princess following the contest. First runner up was Aurora Copenhaver and second runner up was Harley Rossman. Rossman also received an award for best talent.

JUNIOR PRINCESS

Ages 13 to 15

Abigail George was crowned as Junior Princess and also received kudos for best talent.
