LOCK HAVEN -- Join the Clinton County Veterans Affairs Office as they carry the American Flag in remembrance of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on the United States.

Clinton County Veterans Affairs Office is holding its 13th annual 9/11 Moving Tribute to honor First Responders, Veterans and families affected by the 9/11 terror attacks.

This year marks the 25th anniversary as well as America's 250th, dress patriotic and support our great Nation and remember those that lost their lives in the name of freedom.

The event will be on Friday at Triangle Park from 5:45 a.m., the time that the hijackers passed through security, until 8:30 p.m., when President Bush addressed the nation.

Over the course of the day, many people (runners, walkers and cyclists) will keep flags moving throughout the community in remembrance of 9/11.

There is no specific route for the flag. You can take it wherever you want to go during your time period.

There will be a few flags available to carry, but everyone is encouraged to bring their own US flag. The office will also have small flags for those who don't want to carry a large flag.

This event is open to the entire community!

Bring your coworkers, families, friends, neighbors and (well-behaved) fur babies!

Please come out for a half hour, an hour or for the whole day!

They hope you will consider attending to help ensure this meaningful tradition continues as we all honor the first responders, veterans, families and all those whose lives were lost or forever changed on Sept. 11, 2001.
