Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Cody Dugan recently stopped by Kimberly Weaver's kindergarten classroom at Wingate Elementary School to give students a firsthand look at what it's like to be a police officer. Bald Eagle Area School District Superintendent Dr. Chris Santini offered information about the visit in his superintendent newsletter via email to district staff and parents this week. According to the newsletter, students had plenty of questions, and Trooper Dugan shared more about his job and what police officers do to help keep our communities safe. "Of course, the BIG highlight was heading outside to check out his patrol car! The students got an up-close look -- and even had the chance to crawl through the back of the car," Santini's newsletter said. "Thank you, Trooper Dugan, for taking the time to visit our students and make learning about our community helpers so much fun!"
