BEECH CREEK -- Employees at Your Building Center's (YBC) production operation facility, Keystone Truss and Manufacturing, in Beech Creek received sudden notice on Sept. 18 that the facility would be closing that same day.
According to a letter provided to employees, dated Sept. 18, 2026 and from Ted Garrett, vice president of manufacturing, and Michelle Snyder, director of human resources, the operations were being consolidated with the company's Allensville Planning Mill location in Lewistown.
The letter stated employees interested in transferring to the location would need to notify YBC by Sept. 24.
The letter did not indicate why the company was choosing to close the facility so abruptly.
According to its website, YBC opened Keystone Truss in 2005. The 220,000 square foot facility was described as the company's "manufacturing arm" which produced roof trusses, floor trusses and wall panels for construction projects.
YBC purchased APM in 2022, which notes it also manufactured similar products.
Attempts to reach YBC representatives for comment regarding the closure was unsuccessful as of presstime Friday night.
