McELHATTAN -- The township came to life the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 24, with a large turnout for this year's Autumn Adventures, making it a wonderful day of family fun, laughter, and community spirit.
Families enjoyed a variety of fall activities, including hayrides, trunk-or-treat, seasonal photo opportunities and the new Crazy Carnival attraction -- a big hit with attendees. The special guest was Smokey the Bear who spoke with the children and posed for photos.
The Recreation Committee was thrilled to see so many families come out to enjoy the festivities. Events like Autumn Adventures provide an opportunity for neighbors to connect, children to make memories and the community to come together for a shared celebration.
The Wayne Township Recreation Committee extends its sincere appreciation to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to prepare for and carry out the event, as well as everyone who assisted with setup, activities, parking and other event details.
A special thank-you goes to our generous sponsors and community supporters including; Shemory's Septic Services LLC, Jason Smith JTS Excavating, Lowe's, Chatham Run Feed Mill, Weis Markets, Dunkin Donuts, Antes Fort Fire Police, Wayne Township Fire Company, Wayne Township Supervisors and the many loyal trunkers who provided treats for attendees.
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and supported Autumn Adventures. Your participation and generosity made this year's event a memorable success!
The Wayne Township Recreation Committee looks forward to bringing the community together again for more fun and activities in the future. This year's holiday program includes Ho! Ho! Ho! & Hooves and Christmas Cheer Starts Here annual contests. As events are finalized, information may be found on our Facebook page: Wayne Township Recreation Board.
