EXPRESS ARCHIVES The 21st Annual Brews in the Barn fundraising event for Millbrook Playhouse will take place this Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m.

MILL HALL -- Millbrook Playhouse is bringing back one of its most popular fundraising events this Saturday.

Brews in the Barn, now in its 21st year, will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the barn, featuring great drinks, delicious food, amazing company and even Penn State Football.

Attendees will have the chance to experience local craft breweries, talented homebrewers and delicious pours from Bald Eagle Distributors, alongside live music from The Clark McLane Band, hand-rolled cigars and fun beer gadgets.

Brewers big and small will offer up some of their best pours including:

-- Home brewers: Ken Marquar, Jim Rogers and the State College Homebrewers.

-- Commercial Brewers and Partners: Bald Eagle Distributors, WR Hickeys, Rusty Rail, Rosko's Brew House, Robin Hood, Otto's Pub & Brewery, Erie Brewing, New Trail Brewing, Axeman Brewery and more.

"We are thrilled to showcase an amazing lineup of talent this year," the release said.

Don't forget to come hungry, too, as you taste a variety of delicious chilis as part of the event's annual cook off.

"Warm up with our high-stakes competition, where cooks vie for over $1,000 in cash prizes," the release said.

New this year, and because of the Penn State Football game taking place during the event, the playhouse will offer a viewing space for those who want to keep up with the Nittany Lions.

"Don't worry about missing a single play -- we've got you covered! We'll have TVs set up in the barn showing the Penn State game," a release from the playhouse said.

Also new are games and activities at the barn including:

-- Speed Puzzling Tournament: Grab a team and race against the clock for a chance to win prizes.

-- Giant Jenga and Cornhole Toss: Challenge your friends to our classic lawn games.

-- Interactive QR Code Scavenger Hunt & Photo Booth: Snap your memories at our fall backdrop and scan the on-site QR code to play and win.

-- Traditional and 50-50 Raffles: Try your luck to support the Playhouse and win great prizes.

"Special prizes await our tournament champions and game victors across the grounds," the release noted.

Tickets are still on sale and cost $45 with designated driver tickets at $20. This is an event for those 21 or older with a valid ID needed to enter.
