United Way, Express hold another successful masquerade benefit for non-profits

By LAURA JAMESON 2 min read

LOCK HAVEN -- The Clinton County United Way and The Express community newspaper marked another successful fundraising event at its 5th Annual Masquerade Benefit Ball.

The event, held Friday night at the Sons and Daughters of Italy heated outdoor patio, brought together roughly 100 individuals, all decked out in their best -- and some sporting themed costumes -- enjoyed music, food and took part in 50/50 and basket raffles. Proceeds from these contests and ticket sales benefit the United Way and its 13 partner agencies.

United Way Director Carleigh Johnson expressed the organization's appreciation for the support to the non-profit and its mission of assisting those in need within the Clinton County community.

"The success of this year's Masquerade Ball is a true testament to the generosity and compassion of our community. It was incredible to see so many people come together for an evening of celebration, all while supporting the mission of the Clinton County United Way," Johnson said. "We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, volunteers and guests for helping us make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve."

The event featured food courtesy of The Beech Creek Hotel, a signature cocktail, complimentary drinks and a costume contest along with the 50/50 and basket raffles. Music was provided courtesy of Absolut DJ and a photo booth was provided by Jackson Productions.

The total amount raised during the event is still being tallied and includes donations from the photobooth, the raffles and sponsorships.
