Photo Scavenger Hunt
HYNER -- On Saturday, July 22, at 8 p.m., at Hyner Run State Park, bring a camera or cell phone for this "Photo Scavenger Hunt." Find the items on the list, take a photo and get a prize. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Programs may be modified or canceled in the event of severe weather or new community guidelines. Meet at the amphitheater (by the pool.)
Terrific Trees
HYNER -- On Friday, July 28, at Hyner Run State Park, at 3:30 p.m., join the park naturalist to take a look at "Terrific Trees" and tell the difference between some of the different species in Hyner Run State Park. There will be a craft at the end. This program will be suited towards families with children, but anyone is welcome to attend. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Program may be modified or canceled in the event of severe weather or new community guidelines. Meet at the amphitheater (by the pool).
Solitary Rats
HYNER -- There will be a program called "Solitary Rats" on Friday, July 28, at 8 p.m., at Hyner Run State Park. This program will be focusing on a type of packrat that is mainly solitary and not very common in Pennsylvania, the Allegheny Woodrat. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Program may be modified or canceled in the event of severe weather or new community guidelines. Meet at the amphitheater (by the pool). Please bring a lawn chair.
Archery
LITTLE PINE -- On Saturday, July 29, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Little Pine State Park, join the Park Educator and get an intro course in "Archery" basics. All equipment will be provided. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. Program may be modified or canceled in the event of severe weather or new community guidelines. Meet at the Archery Range (Northern Part of Park).
