Various local parks will offer programs that folks may be interested in attending. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. The programs may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or community guidelines.
CCC of Little Pine
On Friday, June 20, at Little Pine State Park, at 3:30 p.m., join the park naturalist and learn about the work that the "CCC of Little Pine" did in the 1930's and 1940's in the area, the culture in these camps and how it prepared some to be well-disciplined World War II veterans. Meet at the amphitheater.

Nature's Villains
On Tuesday, June 24, from 2-3 p.m., join the Bald Eagle State Park naturalist on a short walk to learn about nature's villains. We are going to discuss poison ivy, deer ticks and more! Please dress for the weather. We will be meeting at Pavilion 6 at the beach area.
Wild Turkey Talk
On Wednesday, June 25, at Bald Eagle State Park from 6-7:30 p.m., join PA Game Commission (PGC) employees to learn about wild turkeys in Pa.! They will be discussing the turkey's role in our ecosystems, basic physical and behavioral traits and the current research PGC is conducting on hens and gobblers across the state. After discussion, visitors will have the opportunity to see PGC field research demonstrations of telemetry and turkey nest data collection! Portions of this presentation will occur both inside and outside. There will not be live birds at the program. Meet at the Environmental Learning Center below the park office.
Evening Hike on Lakeshore Trail
On Friday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m., at Little Pine State Park, join the naturalist for an "Evening Hike on Lakeshore Trail." There will be a discussion about the flora and fauna seen along the trail as well as the history of the area. There will also be a look into trail information and etiquette. Please wear hiking boots. Meet at the beginning of Lakeshore Trail at the kiosk at the top of dam.

On Saturday, June 28, at 3:30 p.m., take a stroll around Little Pine State Park with the naturalist to see the different "Summer Wildflowers" coming out. Meet at the amphitheater.
