Various local parks will offer programs that folks may be interested in attending. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. The programs may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or community guidelines.

Bobcats

WATERVILLE — On Friday, Aug. 1, at 3:30 p.m., at Little Pine State Park, join the Environmental Education Specialist to learn about Pennsylvania’s only wildcats, “Bobcats.” This is designed to be an informal program. Meet at the contact station near the campground.

Summer’s ambience

WATERVILLE — On Friday, Aug. 1, at 8:15 p.m., at Little Pine State Park, join the naturalist for a relaxing evening to hear “Summer’s Ambience.” Topics of discussion will center around what is being heard. This is designed to be an informal program. Meet at the boat launch. Please bring a lawn chair.

HYNER — On Saturday, Aug. 2, at 9:30 a.m., at Hyner Run State Park, join the naturalist for a relaxing “Ambience of Summer Hike” on the Nature Trail. Topics of discussion will center around what is being heard. This is designed to be an informal program. Meet at the amphitheater (by the pool).
