Bitner bags turkey while hunting with dad

PHOTO PROVIDED

On Monday, May 4, while it wasn’t Mason Bitner’s first day hunting turkeys with his dad, it was the first day he was able to seal the deal. The tom walked out from cover and Mason spotted him immediately as he was in full strut. According to his family, Mason was patient as the tom stayed in full strut and started making his way toward his decoy. Once he was close enough, Mason clicked off his safety and made the perfect shot. Mason and his dad spent the day riding around and showing everyone! The gobbler was harvested in Clinton County at 7:10 a.m., weighing 18.5 lbs with a 8.25 inch beard.

Starting at $3.69/week.
