Various local parks will offer programs that folks may be interested in attending. All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate. The programs may be modified or cancelled in the event of severe weather or community guidelines.
Rainbows
RENOVO -- Everybody knows ROY G BIV are the colors of a rainbow, but do you know the science behind the Rainbow process? Come on over to Kettle Creek State Park's nature center on Saturday, Aug. 1, to find out and learn more. You'll get to make an actual rainbow with science. Afterward, we'll make an effervescent craft for you to take home. This program begins at 3:30 p.m. and is geared towards kiddos!

Possum Trivia
RENOVO -- When you think about possums, what's the first thing you think about? Maybe playing dead or having a pouch. Come on out to Kettle Creek State Park's nature center on Saturday, Aug. 1, at 7:30 p.m., as we play a fun game of trivia to learn about these AWESOME animals!
Art in the Park -- Bald Eagle edition
RENOVO -- Our national bird is more than a symbol of freedom. Did you know Bald Eagles build the largest nest of any North American bird? Come on over to Kettle Creek State Park's nature center on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 9:30 a.m., to learn about this fantastic flyer. Bring your sketch book along and try your hand at drawing an eagle step by step!

CROSS FORK -- Come to the Ole Bull State Park amphitheater on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m., to learn the fun facts about our nation's symbol of freedom -- the Bald Eagle. Bring your sketch book along and we'll draw an eagle step by step!

Come on out to Ole Bull State Park's amphitheater on Friday, Aug. 7, at 7:45 p.m., to learn and review different calls and sounds heard within Pennsylvania. Afterwards, we'll test what you learned with a fun game of Bingo.
Whoo Ate Whooo?
RENOVO -- Come join the Kettle Creek State Park educator on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 4:30 p.m., and you will become forensic detectives in the mysterious case of the owl pellet! Learn how and what owls eat and get hands-on experience with their interesting "leftovers." Please meet at the nature center.
