Fall Foliage Hike
WOODWARD -- Looking for an invigorating fall hike? Want to really experience those changing colors and falling leaves? Join the Poe Paddy State Park naturalist on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m., for a 4 mile hike up Poe Paddy Drive to see the spectacle of changing colors from two beautiful views Bald Eagle State Forest has to offer. We'll talk about how and why these leaves change, while others don't, on our way up, with a short break and story at Ingleby View, before we begin our descent back to Poe Paddy.
The hike is of moderate difficulty, but long. Plan for this hike to last about three hours, so please wear comfortable footwear, bring water and a little snack to enjoy at the views! And remember to wear orange or bright colors as we are in hunting season.
