Five pounds of marijuana found in vehicle
LOGANTON -- Christian Baez, 38, of Erie, and Onix Montalvo-Montero, 31, of Trenton, N.J., were arrested for drug possession after a traffic stop on Jan. 30 along Interstate 80 near mile marker 185, Greene Township, state police at Lamar said.
A search of the 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Baez, yielded five pounds of marijuana, police said.
Both were arraigned and jailed in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail, police said.
Drug, firearm possession
BELLEFONTE -- Tiffany Cunningham, 33, of New Castle Del., was found to be in possession of marijuana and other related paraphernalia as well as a loaded handgun in the parking lot of SCI Benner on Jan. 26, state police at Rockview said.
Charges are being filed through district court, police said.
Forgery at Rockview SCI
BELLEFONTE -- A 37-year-old inmate at SCI Rockview is claiming someone forged his signature to take $200 out of his account and sent to an address in Philadelphia, state police at Rockview said.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
Harassment alleged
CENTRE HALL -- A 47-year-old Lilly, Pa. man was charged with harassment following a complaint at the Meadows Psychiatric Center on Jan. 29, state police at Rockview said.
Megan's Law violation
SNOW SHOE -- State police at Rockview are investigating a Megan's Law non-compliance violation along Birch Run Road, Snow Shoe Township.
DUI alleged
CENTRE HALL -- The driver of a Freightliner tractor trailer was charged with DUI on view drugs after it was reported a disabled vehicle was blocking the roadway at the intersection of Old Fort Road and South Pennsylvania Avenue, state police at Rockview said.
The driver, whose name was not listed, was determined to be under the influence of drugs, police said.
Charges are pending toxicology reports, police said.
Theft of funds
RENOVO -- State police at Lamar are investigating an incident of theft of funds from a Renovo man's funds from Jersey Shore State Bank between Jan. 9 and 14.
Joseph Litz, 45, told police the unknown suspects gained access to his bank account and deposited and removed money without his approval, police said.
