Charged with rape of a child
JERSEY SHORE — Tommy Hoffman, 20, of Jersey Shore, was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, statutory sexual assault, rape of a child, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and corrupting the morals of a minor for allegedly having sexual relations with a boy in Nippenose Township, Lycoming County in late December, Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police said.
Hoffman was jailed in lieu of $90,000 bail.
Terroristic threats at CMHS
MILL HALL — Demetri Perkins, 18, of Lock Haven, was arrested after making threats of violence toward Central Mountain High School on Feb. 4, state police at Lamar said.
Perkins was arrested on Feb. 6 and taken into custody on an active arrest warrent, police said.
He was transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility to await arraignment on charges of terroristic threats and other related charged, police said.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
LOCK HAVEN — Devin W. Nymen, of Blanchard, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence following an early morning crash on Jan. 31, Lock Haven City Police said.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Woods Avenue and Pearl Street where Nymen had crashed his 2006 Toyota Tacoma head on into a utility pole causing it to break in half, police said.
Officer Wesley Alexander reported when he spoke with Nymen he said he had left The Saloon and was on his way home when the accident occurred.
Nymen was walked through a field sobriety test and taken into custody under suspicion of DUI, police said.
Several cans of beer were seen in Nymen’s truck which suffered severe front end damage, police said.
Nymen agreed to a blood draw and was released to his mother, police said.
PPL was called to the scene for downed wires and a tow truck took the vehicle from the scene, police said.
BELLEFONTE — A 30-year-old Bellefonte man was arrested and charged with harassment following a domestic dispute along Hickory Street, Benner Township on Jan. 25 at 3:45 a.m., state police at Rockview said.
Charges will be filed through district court.
BELLEFONTE — Misty Pierce, 40, of Bellefonte, faces charges of driving under the influence after being found unresponsive in her 2014 Ford Fusion on the Interstate 99 on ramp at Shiloh Road on Feb. 6, state police at Rockview said.
Upon further investigation it was determined Pierce was under the influence of several medications and taken for a legal blood draw, police said.
Charges are pending results, police said.
Drug possession charges
LOCK HAVEN — A 44-year-old Lock Haven woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 2 along Sherwood Drive, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, state police at Montoursville said.
Tractor trailer accident
LOGANTON — The driver of a 2010 Peterbilt tractor trailer suffered minor injuries after his vehicle rolled down an embankment along Interstate 80 near mile marker 194, Greene Township on Feb. 6 at 8:13 p.m., state police at Lamar said.
Christopher P. Berry, 34, of Avon Lake, Ohio, was traveling in the left lane when he traveled off the left edge of the road onto the gravel berm where the trailer began to slide down an embankment while the truck spun clockwise, police said.
At some point both the truck and trailer overturned and rolled down the embankment coming to rest on the driver’s side of the vehicle, police said.
Berry was wearing his seatbelt and was transported to UPMC Lock Haven by Flemington Goodwill Hose EMS for his injuries, police said.
Berry was charged with not driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
