Harassment investigated
MILESBURG -- State Police at Rockview investigated a case of harassment that took place at 11:45 a.m. on March 6 in Milesburg Borough, Centre County.
According to police, Linda Trefelner, 57, was moving out of her residence along Sno Fountain Lane in the borough when her neighbor, Celia Hockenberry, 65, started an argument. Following the verbal altercation, police say that Hockenberry followed Trefelner from Snappy's to the Milesburg Community Park. At that point, Trefelner pulled over and contacted police. A summary harassment citation was filed against Hockenberry through magisterial district justice 49-3-02.
Tractor trailer crash
SNOW SHOE -- State Police at Rockview were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash that took place along Interstate 80 in Snow Shoe Township on March 6.
According to police, a 2015 Freightliner tractor trailer being driven by Krzysztof Walentynowicz, 48, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., was traveling westbound when he had a medical emergency. His vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment on the south shoulder.
Walentynowicz was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center by Snow Shoe Ambulance and Rescue Service for treatment of his injuries. Police were assisted at the scene by the Snow Shoe Fire Department, Snow Shoe EMS, Eagle Towing and Rees Towing.
The crash took place at 4:29 p.m.
Deer causes crash
BELLEFONTE -- A deer was the cause of a one-vehicle crash that took place at 11:40 p.m. on March 7 along the Benner Pike in Benner Township, Centre County.
According to police, a 2008 Acura RDX being driven by William Evey, 22, of Hollidaysburg was traveling south along state Route 150 (Benner Pike) when a deer ran onto the roadway. Evey was unable to avoid the deer and struck it. His vehicle sustained disabling damage. No injuries were reported in the crash. Rich Amoco towed the vehicle from the scene.
Forgery investigated
MILESBURG -- State Police at Rockview investigated a case of forgery that took place at the TA Truck Stop in Milesburg at 5:55 a.m. on Feb. 21.
According to police, a 20-year-old man from Youngstown, Ohio forged either a check or credit card receipt to purchase a pack of peanut M&M's. The M&M's were valued at $1.49.
Fence damaged
SNOW SHOE -- State Police at Rockview investigated a case of criminal mischief that took place sometime overnight on March 5 and 6 in Snow Shoe Borough, Centre County.
According to police, someone damaged a wooden fence at Joseph Emel's property, located at 110 N. Fourth St. No additional damage was reported. Damage was estimated at $5.
The investigation continues.
One-vehicle crash
COBURN -- A one-vehicle crash was investigated by State Police at Rockview at 12:22 a.m. on March 6. According to police, a 24-year-old male suspect was attempting to negotiate a right curve along Penns Creek Road in Penn Township, Centre County when his Ford F250 Supercab left the roadway, struck a post, a mailbox and rolled over before coming to rest on its roof. The operator of the vehicle fled the scene on foot. He was located soon following the crash. It was determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Charges are pending.
Drug possession
SPRING MILLS -- While investigating an inactive domestic incident at 7:28 a.m. on March 4, State Police at Rockview made a drug arrest.
Police say that drugs and drug paraphernalia was located in plain view at the residence, which is located along Old Fort Road in Potter Township, Centre County. A 14-year-old Spring Mills was immediately taken into custody.
Antique cars damaged
RUSH TOWNSHIP -- Several antique cars were damaged during a burglary at a warehouse in Centre County on March 6, according to State Police at Rockiew.
According to state police, just before 2 p.m. on March 6, an unknown suspect, or suspects, broke into a warehouse along Curtin Street in Rush Township and caused approximately $100,000 in damages to several antique cars.
The investigation continues. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at (814) 355-7545.
Credit card found
BENNER TOWNSHIP -- State Police at Rockview found a credit card at 8:26 p.m. on March 6 at the intersection of Spring Creek Road and Barns Lane in Benner Township, Centre County.
