Two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that took place at 4:42 p.m. on June 8 along Bellefonte Avenue in Lock Haven.

Police say that a 2012 Kia Soul being driven by Stephanie Shaffer of Lock Haven was traveling along Bellefonte Avenue when she had to stop suddenly to avoid a child who was headed into traffic. At that time, Shaffer was struck from behind by a Ford Fusion being driven by Tori Lynn Reeder of Lock Haven. Damage to both vehicles was moderate.

A passenger in the Kia Soul, Sharri Sherwood, was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for treatment of her injuries. Reeder was cited for her role in the crash.

Bike, tools stolen

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police are investigating a case of theft that took place sometime on either June 13 or 14.

Police say that a 36-year-old female reported a brown BMX bike and numerous Craftsman tools were stolen from a truck while it was parked along the 300 block of West Main Street in Lock Haven.

The investigation continues.

Theft by deception

BENNER TOWNSHIP — State Police at Rockview are investigating a case of theft by deception that took place at 3:34 p.m. on June 17 along Penntech Drive in Benner Township, Centre County.

According to police, someone fraudulently obtained the credit card of a 49-year-old Port Matilda man. The person then used the credit card to purchase $404 worth of goods from the internet.

The investigation is ongoing.

Items stolen

MILLHEIM — State Police at Rockview are investigating a case of theft that took place sometime either June 16 or June 17 along Penn Street in Millheim Borough, Centre County.

Police say that someone stole an aux cord, a phone charger and $2 from a 2008 Honda Odyssey while it was parked along Penn Street. The items belonged to Arle Bielanko, 36, of Millheim and are valued at $22.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact State Police at Rockview at (814) 355-7545.

Vehicle rear ended

BELLEFONTE — No one was injured in a two vehicle accident that occurred along Interstate 99 in Benner Township on June 11, state police at Rockview said.

A 2006 Volvo S60, driver not listed, was traveling in the left lane on the highway when they slowed to avoid hitting a ladder that was on the roadway, police said.

As the vehicle slowed it was struck by a 2015 Kenworth T800 causing minor damager to the vehicle, police said.

No charges were filed as a result of the accident.

Terroristic threats

SNOW SHOE — Thomas Foster, 42, of Jersey Shore, was charged with terroristic threats after an incident that occurred on June 12 in Snow Shoe Borough involving a 36-year-old Snow Shoe woman and 41-year-old Snow Shoe man, State Police at Rockview said.

Two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that took place around 6:15 p.m. on June 8 along Bellefonte Avenue in Lock Haven.

According to police, a 2014 Subaru Forester being driven by Savanna Lynn Mincer rear-ended a 2000 Honda Civic being driven by Nathan Johnson. Johnson told police that he was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto East Park Street when he was rear-ended. Damage to both vehicles was moderate.

Mincer was cited for following too closely.
