Hit and run crash

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police investigated a hit and run that took place at 12:38 p.m. on Sept. 13 along North Jones Street in Lock Haven.

Police report that a 2000 Chevrolet owned by Martha Barner was hit by what is believed to be a blue Chevy Malibu. According to a witness, a man struck the Chevy, examined the damage and then drove off. There was damage to the driver’s side door, police said.

Police have no suspect in the hit and run.

Two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police investigated a two-vehicle crash that took place at 6:50 p.m. on Sept. 10. The crash took place at the intersection of Commerce Street and Bellefonte Avenue in Lock Haven.

According to police, a 2016 GMC Terrain being driven by Marisa Karsky of Jordan, Mich., ran a red light and collided with a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer being driven by Alex Morlock of Mill Hall. Damage to both vehicles was severe. No injuries were reported. Police were assisted at the scene by Valley Collision and Dan’s Auto.

Three-vehicle crash

AARONSBURG — A three-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Rockview around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 11.

According to police a 2002 Kenworth Northwest being driven by Glenn Wiand, 64, of Mifflinburg was traveling eastbound along state Route 45 in Haines Township, Centre County. Wiand was attempting to pass a 2017 Harley-Davidson Streetglide being driven by Stephen Zelznick, 26, of Bellefonte. The Harley-Davidson struck a 2014 Harley-Davidson Streetglide being driven by Joshua Shirk, 35, of Bellefonte. Zelznick sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Wiand was cited for careless driving for his role in the crash.

Harassment

SNOW SHOE — A case of harassment was investigated by state police at Rockview.

According to police, a 22-year-old from Knox, Pa., harassed a 60-year-old Snow Shoe man around 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 in Snow Shoe Township, Centre County.

Charges are being filed through District Magistrate 49-3-03. The 22-year-old was charged with 18 5503 (entitled disorderly conduct) and 18 2709 (entitled harassment).

Two-vehicle crash

TROUT RUN — State police at Montoursville investigated a two-vehicle crash that took place along state Route 287 in Cogan House Township, Lycoming County on Sept. 11.

According to police, a 2016 Hyundai Sonata being driven by William Lawson, 90, of Trout Run was traveling North on state Route 287. His vehicle crossed the center line and struck a 2015 Peterbilt 389 being driven by Scott A. Dorman, 53, of Pleasant Gap. Damage to both vehicles was severe. Lawson was taken to Williamsport Hospital by Jersey Shore EMS for treatment of his injuries.

Police were assisted at the scene by American Trucking and Bressler’s Towing.

Firearms violation

BOGGS TOWNSHIP — A firearms violation was investigated by State Police at Rockview at 4:18 p.m. on Sept. 8 along Interstate 80 in Boggs Township, Centre County.

According to police a vehicle was stopped on I-80 for summary traffic violations. Through investigation, police found the 20-year-old driver from Picture Rocks, Pa., to be in possession of drugs, paraphernalia and a loaded firearm. The operator did not have a license to carry the firearm.

Bicycle recovered

BELLEFONTE — State Police at Rockview recovered a bicycle from Rutter’s, 713 Rishel Hill Road in Bellefonte on Sept. 5.
