Child abuse

LOGANTON -- State Police at Lamar investigated a case of child abuse that was reported on Aug. 19.

The incident allegedly took place along Long Run Road in Greene Township, Clinton County. According to police, a CYS report was filed against a 49-year-old Loganton man. The victims of the alleged abuse are a 16-year-old female from Haverhill, Mass., and a 20-year-old male from Bloomsburg. After further investigation and interviews, police say that they confirmed the abuse.

Charges will be filed accordingly, police said.

PFA violation

MILL HALL - A PFA violation was investigated by state police at Lamar on Aug. 25.

According to police, they arrested Kayla Dunlap, 28, of Williamsport for violating a PFA against Zachary Cramer, 23, of Mill Hall. The arrest took place at 2 p.m. on Aug. 27, police said. The PFA had been filed through District Court 25-3-02.

One-vehicle crash

COGAN HOUSE TOWNSHIP -- State police at Montoursville responded to a one-vehicle crash that took place around 9:43 p.m. on Aug. 28 along Cogan House Road in Cogan House Township, Lycoming County.

Police say that Chad Gibson, 28, of Jersey Shore, was traveling westbound along Cogan House Road in Cogan House Township, Lycoming County. According to police, Gibson tried to negotiate a curve on the wet roadway and lost control of his 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. The Cruze left the roadway, went down a grass ditch and struck a tree.

The Cruze came to rest and Gibson freed himself from the vehicle. Gibson said he was not hurt in the crash and refused treatment. He was cited by police for his role in the crash.

Access device fraud

LOCKPORT -- Samantha Alyzabeth McGregor, 21, of Lock Haven, turned herself into Woodward Township Police for an outstanding felony warrant after she was charged with access device fraud, identity theft, theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit identity theft, police said.

McGregor allegedly conspired with another person to use a stolen credit card to purchase several hundred dollars worth of merchandise, police said.

McGregor was taken to Clinton County Correctional Facility where she was arraigned before District Judge John Maggs. Bail was set at $1,500, police said.

Harassment, assault

JERSEY SHORE -- Jesse Stahl, 44, of 307 Allegheny St., has been charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly backhanding a juvenile and kicking him in the chest.

Police said the incident occurred in the 300 block of Allegheny Street on Aug. 14. Stahl is free on $7,500 bail.

Strangulation alleged

LINDEN -- Wesley Legegern, 24, of Harvest Moon Park, has been chaarged with strangulation, simple assault and harassment following an incident at 36 Harvest Moon Park, Woodward Township at about 11 p.m. Aug. 22, according to state police at Montoursville.

Police said Legegern, who was already out on bail on Williamsport City Police charges of simple assault and harassment of a woman living at the trailer park, assaulted the same woman on the Aug. 22 incident.

Police said the accused put his hands around the woman's neck and bit the woman's nose causing it to bleed.

Taken into custody, Legegern was arrainged before District Judge Christian Frey. He was initially jailed but has since been released on $35,000 bail.
