Police chase leads to arrest
LAMAR -- A Youngstown, Ohio man was arrested after a high speed chase along Interstate 80, Lamar Township on Oct. 21, state police at Lamar said.
Tori Letlow, 30, was pulled over at 8:39 p.m. for a speeding violation when he fled the scene in his 2020 Ford F-150 XLT going at speeds over 100 mile per hour, police said.
A pursuit ensued for about 16 miles until spike strips were used at exit 161 to stop Letlow, police said.
Letlow was taken into custody without incident and charged with fleeing and eluding, drug possession, reckless endangerment of his two passengers and other traffic offenses, police said.
Charges were filed through district court, police said.
Vehicle strikes building
LOCK HAVEN -- The driver of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra suffered a minor injury following a two vehicle crash which caused damage to a light pole and business along Main Street in Lock Haven, Lock Haven City Police said.
Aaron M. Harer, of Jersey Shore, was pulling away from the curb and attempting to turn from Main Street on to Vesper Street when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 2010 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Ryan T. Cohick Jr., of Mill Hall, police said.
The force of the impact drove both vehicles into 30 E. Main St., knocking over a light pole and striking a portion of the building, police said.
Cohick told police he was traveling west in the left lane of the roadway when Harer's vehicle turned in front of him causing him to strike the vehicle, police said.
Two witnesses, Heather McMahon and Catherine Mills, said that Harer did turn in front of Cohick, police said.
Harer was cited for improper left turn and his vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
Hit and run
investigation

BELLEFONTE -- State police at Rockview are still investigating a hit and run that occurred on Feb. 12, 2013 along Interstate 99 in College Township, Centre County.
Sherry R. Houtz, of Bellefonte, was 32 years old when she was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking south along the roadway between 3:45 and 4 a.m., police said.
The vehicle involved is believed to be a passenger vehicle or small pick-up truck with possible damage to the passenger side from the front corner and back, including the wheel wells and passenger side windshield, police said. No color, make or model of the vehicle is available.
Police and Houtz's family are asking anyone who may have been traveling in the area between 3:30 a.m. and 4:03 a.m. that day to contact state police at 814-355-7545.
Woman bites police
LOCK HAVEN -- Tisha Leigh Smeal, 32, of Beech Creek, was charged with aggravated assault after attacking two police officers, Lock Haven City Police said.
Smeal was attempting to interfere with the arrest of another person when she began to fight with the officers, biting two of them, police said.
The officers received medical treatment for the injuries and Smeal was taken to Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $40,000 bail, police said.
Burglary
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar are investigating a burglary that occurred between Sept. 14 and Nov. 5 at a home along Girard Street in Mill Hall.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call PSP Lamar at 570-726-6000.
Trespass leads to arrest
MILL HALL -- A Loganton woman was charged with resisting arrest and defiant trespassing after an incident at the Lock Haven Motel in Mill Hall on Nov. 7, state police at Lamar said.
Tiffany Miller-Boyce, 39, was not paying for her bill at the motel and the staff wanted her to leave, police said.
Troopers made contact with Miller-Boyce and asked her to leave. Boyce refused and was found to have a warrant out of Lehigh County, police said.
Miller-Boyce resisted arrest while officers attempted to take her into custody, police said.
Harassment
RENOVO -- Gary Bliss, 53, of Renovo was cited for harassment following an incident that took place at the Keystone Hotel, 400 Erie Ave., Renovo, on Nov. 8, state police at Lamar said.
Police were called to the hotel at 5:15 p.m. where Bliss was involved in an incident with Billy Yednak, 47, of Renovo, police said.
Minor injuries
MILL HALL -- The driver of a 2001 Dodge Stratus suffered minor injuries following a one vehicle accident along Bald Eagle Mountain Road, Bald Eagle Township on Nov. 8, state police at Lamar said.
Maya E. Bubb, 19, of Mill Hall, was traveling east on the road when she lost control and hit an embankment with her vehicle, causing it to roll onto its roof, police said.
Bubb was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and was transported to UPMC Lock Haven by Goodwill Hose EMS, police said.
Bubb was cited for careless driving, police said.
Police were assisted on scene by Mill Hall Volunteer Fire Company.
One vehicle accident
BELLEFONTE -- A deer caused a crash along Interstate 80 near mile marker 152, Boggs Township, Centre County, state police at Rockview said.
Justin R. Fancher, 30, of Blakely, Pa., was traveling west on the roadway on Nov. 9 at 1:29 a.m. when the deer ran out onto the roadway and struck his 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, police said.
Vehicle stolen
MILESBURG -- State police at Rockview are investigating the theft of a 1999 red Chevrolet along Catherine Street in Milesburg Borough on Nov. 8.
Found prescription
SNOW SHOE -- State police at Rockview received a call for prescription medication found along Gorton Road in Snow Shoe Township on Nov. 8.
The investigation is on-going.
Deer struck
BELLEFONTE -- The driver of a 2014 Nissan Maxima was not injured after striking a deer along South Eagle Valley Road, Boggs Township, Centre County on Nov. 4, state police at Rockview said.
Aaron M. Packer, 27, of Blanchard, was traveling west on the road when the deer entered the road, police said.
Packer attempted to slow down when it struck the deer. He was able to pull off to the right of the roadway following the crash, police said.
