License plate stolen

CENTRE HALL — A case of theft was investigated by state police at Rockview.

According to police, a license plate attached to a trailer was stolen sometime between Dec. 30, 2020 and Jan. 21, 2021 from a private residence at 648 N. Pennsylvania Ave.

The plate belongs to Daniel Hawk, 65, of Centre Hall. It has no monetary value, police said.

The trailer had been to Snow Show Rails to Trails and Waterville, Pa., during the aforementioned dates. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact state police at Rockview.

DUI crash

COLLEGE TOWNSHIP — A single-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Rockview around 11:11 a.m. on Dec. 10.

According to police, a 45-year-old Bellefonte woman crashed her 2008 Toyota Matrix along Interstate 99 North. Upon investigation, the driver was charged with moving violations and DUI.

The investigation continues.

Inmate death

BENNER TOWNSHIP — A death of an inmate was investigated by state police at Rockview on Jan. 20.

According to police, Dale Hutchings, 73, of Bellefonte, an inmate at SCI-Rockview died around 7:50 p.m. on Jan. 20. Police determined that the cause of death was natural.
