Drug possession
JERSEY SHORE -- Victor Garms, 45, of 286 Hill St., Jersey Shore, faces several charges for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a Nov. 4, 2020, traffic pullover by Williamsport city police.
Garms allegedly had a crack pipe in the car and a crack pipe hidden in a flashlight on his person, according to police officer Brett Garbrick.
Garbrick also said Garms allegedly had crack cocaine in a brown napkin in the center console.
Additionally, Garms allegedly had a case with clear glass methamphetamine pipes and crack pipes, brillo, a digital scale and a clear glass vial that was field tested as methamphetamine.
Finally, police allegedly found bath salts and a clear plastic bag containing possible "shrooms."
District Judge Aaron Biichle arraigned Garms, and released him on $5,000 bail. Garms is scheduled to appear for a formal arraignment before President Judge Nancy Butts Feb. 8.
DUI alleged
AVIS -- A Milesburg woman was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Take A Peak Road and Henry Street, Pine Creek Township on Dec. 21, state police at Lamar said.
Sierra Huntington, 21, was parked in the lane of Take A Peak Road when police detected an odor of marijuana inside the vehicle, police said.
Huntington was in possession of drug paraphernalia and she displayed signs of impairment, admitting she used marijuana, police said.
Huntington was taken to Jersey Shore Geisinger for chemical testing, police said.
Charges were filed through District Judge Keith Kibbler's office.
Possible DUI
LOCK HAVEN -- A traffic violation lead to DUI arrest at the intersection of Commerce and Bald Eagle streets in Lock Haven on Jan. 2, state police at Lamar said.
Dalton Hockenberry, 19, of Blanchard, was stopped for a traffic violation when police detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, police said.
Hockenberry displayed signs of impairment and was in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, police said. He was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for chemical testing, police said.
Charges were filed through district judge Keith Kibbler's office.
Icy conditions lead to crash
LAMAR -- The driver of a 2015 Dodge Challenger was not injured following an accident along Interstate 80 westbound in Porter Township on Jan. 26, state police at Lamar said.
At 8:19 p.m., Taylor S. Grider, 25, of Lewisburg, was traveling along the roadway when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions, police said.
The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a rock ledge, police said.
PFA violation
LOGANTON -- Nathan Miller, 44, of Lewisburg, was placed in the Clinton County Correctional Facility for violating a protection from abuse order on Jan. 20, state police at Lamar said.
Miller is accused of being on a property along West Winter Road in Greene Township which was a violation of the PFA, police said.
The investigation continues.
