One vehicle accident

LOGANTON — The driver of a 2003 BMW X5 was not injured in a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 in Greene Township on Jan. 1, state police at Lamar said.

Gerell Shepard, 31, of Cresson, Pa., was traveling west in the left lane near mile marker 186 when he hit the brakes and lost control of the vehicle, police said.

The vehicle crossed the right lane, traveled off of the northern side of the road and continued about 20 feet before striking an embankment, police said.

Shepard’s vehicle continued, spinning clockwise before coming to a stop, police said.

DUI alleged

LOCK HAVEN — Mike Stover, 48, of Lock Haven, was charged with driving under the influence after state police at Lamar found him asleep behind the wheel of a running 2003 BMW at 204 Woodward Ave., Woodward Township.

Stover showed signs of impairment and had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath, police said.

Charges were filed through district court.

No injuries

LOGANTON — The driver of a 2012 Mack Truck Cascadia was traveling too fast for the icy conditions of a roadway when he crashed along Interstate 80 on Jan. 2 in Greene Township, state police at Lamar said.

Terrence D. Parker, 47, of East Orange, N.J., was attempting to make a left hand curve near mile marker 194 when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to slide our of control and overturn on the passenger side, police said.

Parker was not injured and his vehicle was towed from the scene by Bressler’s Towing, police said.

Parker was cited in relation to driving vehicle at safe speed and accidents involving overturned vehicles, police said.

Charges were filed through District Judge John Maggs.

Car sideswiped, PPL pole hit

LOCK HAVEN — City police investigated an accident that occurred on South Jones Street and West Bald Eagle Street at 2:25 a.m. on Dec. 13.

Police said a vehicle operated by Devon J. Bushor of Hughesville, sideswiped a parked ehicle in the 100 block of South Jones Street and continued onto West Bald Eagle Street where Bushor’s vehicle hit a PPL pole.

The operator told police he was uninjured, however, while conducting a field interview, the police officer said he suspected Bushor had been imbibing alcohol and was impaired. Bushor was taken to Lock Haven UPMC for a blood draw. Results are pending, police said.
