One-vehicle crash

AVIS — A one-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Lamar on Feb. 12.

According to police, a 2000 Ford Excursion being driven by Jarrod Romero, 30, of Beech Creek, was traveling southbound along state Route 220 near the Avis exit. Romero failed to maintain his lane of travel and struck a guiderail. The Excursion became disabled as a result of the crash. It had to be towed by Carrs Towing.

The crash took place around 7:41 a.m.

Two-vehicle accident

FLEMINGTON — A two-vehicle accident took place around 8:45 a.m. on Feb. 11 in Flemington Borough, Clinton County.

According to police, a 2011 Kia Sorento and 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe collided at the intersection of Huston Street and High Street. Names of those driving the vehicles were not released by police.

No one was injured in the crash. Damage to both vehicles was minor.

Hit-and-run crash

LAMAR — A hit-and-run crash was investigated by state police at Lamar on Feb. 3.

According to police, 2017 Freightliner Cascadia being driven by Dorothy Cruz, 40, of San Antonio, Texas, and a 2009 Volvo tractor trailer being driven by Jozef Kurczak, 38, of Chicago, were involved in a hit and run crash in the parking lot of the Flying J Truckstop along Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township, Clinton County.

No one was injured and damage was minor, police said.

Drug possession

MILESBURG — A case of drug possession was investigated by state police at Rockview on Feb. 11.

According to police, they were investigating a domestic incident along Turnpike Street in Milesburg Borough, Centre County. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that a 35-year-old Lock Haven woman was in possession of methamphetamine. Charges are pending against the woman.

The incident took place around 10:40 a.m.

Harassment

PORTER TOWNSHIP — A case of harassment was investigated by state police at Lamar on Feb. 10 along Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township, Clinton County.

According to police, a 25-year-old Brooklyn, N.Y., man was involved in a physical altercation with another man. That man fled the scene. He is described as a black male, around 6-feet tall wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and a face mask.

The incident took place around 5:48 p.m., police said.

Two-vehicle crash

WALKER TOWNSHIP — A two-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Rockview on Feb. 12.

According to police, around 4:12 p.m., a 2020 Toyota Tacoma being driven by James A. Reibel, 27, of State College, was turning right onto Crust Road from Nittany Valley Drive when he was rear-ended by a 2014 Subaru Crosstrek XV being driven by Bryce Duck, 22, of Howard. There were no injuries in the crash and both vehicles were able to pull onto Crust Road.

The drivers then contacted police.

Theft by deception

PATTON TOWNSHIP — State police at Rockview investigated a case of theft by deception that took place along Toftrees Avenue in Patton Township, Centre County on July 14, 2020.

Police are investigating fraudulent receipt of unemployment benefits. The investigation is ongoing.

Two-vehicle accident

LOGANTON — A two-vehicle accident called state police at Lamar to the scene on Feb. 12.

According to police, a 2012 Ford F-250 Supercab was stopped in the middle of West Winter Road in Greene Township, Clinton County and was attempting to back into a driveway. A 2012 Rav4 struck the Ford F-250 Supercab as it was backing in.

The accident took place around 5:55 p.m.
