Two vehicle crash

LINDEN — Kolton J. Long, 25, of Avis, suffered minor injuries in a two vehicle accident along Route 220 North, Woodward Township, Lycoming County on Feb. 12, state police at Montoursville said.

Long was driving his 2001 Volkswagen Jetta in the right lane when a 1997 Dodge Ram, driven by John A. Phillips, 56, of Linden, pulled out of Carpenters Trailer Park and began to travel north, police said.

A vehicle behind Phillips moved into the left lane to pass his vehicle when Long rear ended his vehicle, police said.

Long’s vehicle suffered disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Showcase Towing, police said.

Long reported minor back injuries but refused EMS treatment on scene and stated he would drive himself to the hospital. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, police said.

Phillips was wearing his seatbelt and his vehicle suffered minor damage, police said.

Long was cited for not driving his vehicle at safe speeds, police said.

Theft

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview are investigating a theft that occurred on Feb. 13 at 240 Deer Creek Lane, Benner Township, Centre County.

Joseph Riley, 51, of Bellefonte, reported an unknown suspect broke into a lock box and stole money that was from purchasing honey, police said.
