JS man accused of DUI
JERSEY SHORE -- A Jersey Shore man was charged with a DUI on Allegheny Street on Dec. 11 2020, according to Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police.
Scott Powell, 56, of 144 Elm St., Jersey Shore, was pulled over by police for allegedly swerving into the opposite lane almost hitting a parked car.
According to police, when he was pulled over, there was a strong smell of alcohol coming from the car along with a noticeable empty Coors Light can in the passenger seat and an open 30-pack in the back.
Powell performed poorly on two field sobriety tests and refused doing another, according to police. He then allegedly consented to a blood test at Geisinger Hospital in Jersey Shore.
District Judge Jerry Lepley sent Powell a summons for March 3 to answer for charges of DUI, driving under a suspended registration, careless driving, and disregarding lanes of traffic.

JERSEY SHORE -- A Jersey Shore hunter was charged with DUI after allegedly swerving into opposite lanes on North Main Street in Jersey Shore on Dec. 4, 2020.
Dalton McLaughlin, 28, of 83 Kneale Lane, was stopped after he swerved across the double-yellow line multiple times while driving, according to Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police.
McLaughlin told police that he thought he had fallen asleep at the wheel from being too tired from hunting all day.
According to police, McLaughlin had glossy bloodshot eyes and was speaking slowly. His BAC was .142% according to police.
District Judge Lepley sent McLaughlin a summons to appear Feb. 24 on charges of DUI, disregarding the lanes of traffic, careless driving and coming to an improper stop.
DUI alleged in JS accident
JERSEY SHORE -- A man faces DUI charges after striking a parked car in Jersey Shore, according to Tiadagahton Valley Regional Police.
Jesse Imes, 40, of 550 S. Broad St. Jersey Shore, struck the left-rear corner of a parked car while the victim was buckling a child, according to police.
Imes allegedly acted lethargic and had the odor of alcohol. He was also allegedly driving his vehicle with a suspended license due to a previous DUI conviction.
According to police Imes had a BAC of .204%.
District Judge Jerry Lepley sent Imes a summons for DUI, driving with a suspended license and careless driving. Imes is scheduled to appear before Judge Marc Lovecchio March 1 for a formal arraignment.
Renovo man faces drug charges
RENOVO -- A Renovo man is facing drug delivery charges after allegedly selling meth to an undercover cop.
Adam Weaver, 34, of 725 Huron Ave., Renovo, sold 3.5 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover Narcotics Enforcement Unit detective after agreeing to meet him at the Route 220 Sheetz in Linden, according to police.
After arriving at the Sheetz in Linden, Weaver entered the side door of the undercover vehicle where an exchange of $240 for meth took place, police said.
District Judge Jerry Lepley arraigned Weaver for delivery of a controlled substance and the criminal use of a communication facility. Lepley set bail to $35,000.
Weaver remains in the Clinton County Prison until a scheduled guilty plea before President Judge Nancy Butts on April 23.
Drug paraphernalia charges
JERSEY SHORE -- A man is facing drug paraphernalia charges after a traffic stop by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police.
Kinsely Cohick, 26, of 1100 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, was riding in the back seat of a white Jeep driven by Desiree Mckeag, who did not have a valid driver's license, according to police.
After being asked his name by police, Cohick allegedly refused to give it to authorities. Police dispatch had made aware that Cohick had an active bench warrant out against him from the Lycoming County Sheriff's office.
Cohick's bag was searched by police and drug paraphernalia was found inside, police said.
District Judge Jerry Lepley arraigned Cohick for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Theft of cigarettes
JERSEY SHORE -- Gary Umstead, 38, of 141 Arch St., Jersey Shore, is charged with theft after he allegedly walked out of Smoker's Express without paying for a pack of cigarettes on Jan. 11, according to Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police.
Police found the cigarettes on Umstead. They were valued at $6.11.
Umstead was arraigned before District Judge Jerry Lepley and released on $1,500 bail.
Making false statements
JERSEY SHORE -- Michelle Caris, 48, of Lock Haven was charged by state police at Montoursville with making false statements after she allegedly lied on an application to purchase a firearm at After Hours Gun Shop in Anthony Township last May.
She was arraigned by District Judge Jerry Lepley and released on $1,500 bail.

JERSEY SHORE -- Kris Worden, 39, of 508 Railroad St., Jersey Shore, has been charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police with fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, reckless driving, driving while license is suspended, careless driving, disregard of traffic lanes, turning movements and signals, driving at a safe speed and lighting requirements.
Police said they attempted to pull Worden over for speeding on Nov. 6 and Worden fled, traveling at 88 miles an hour at one point.
Worden was arraigned by District Judge Jerry Lepley and posted $15,000 bail.
Minor injuries in crash
RENOVO -- Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Route 120 in Chapman Township at 12:07 p.m. on Feb. 21.
Drivers were Robert L. Guerriero, 67, of Lock Haven and Sharon L. Ashby, 60, of Winter Haven, according to state police at Lamar.
Ashby and a passenger in her vehicle, Jaime V. Phillips, 29, of Ladson, S.C., suffered minor injuries and were transported to Bucktail Medical Center, police said.
The accident happened when Guerriero pulled out in front of the Ashby vehicle, police said.
Inmate assaults guards
BELLEFONTE -- Two correctional officers at Rockview Place were treated for minor injuries after an inmate allegedly threw suspected urine/feces into their faces, according to state police at Rockview.
The incident occurred at 8:58 a.m. on Jan. 22.
