Gray apprehended

in Somerset County

LOCK HAVEN -- Lock Haven City Police reported that a man sought in a Feb. 28 robbery was apprehended in Somerset County on Tuesday. Police had issued a warrant for the arrest of Torr Thomas Gray on March 1.

Police were looking for Gray following the incident on Feb. 28, when they say he entered a business on N. Vesper Street at 12:30 a.m. and encountered the 19-year-old victim. Police say that Gray grabbed ahold of the victim, threw him on the ground, punched him numerous times in the face and head, then stole his wallet. Police said Gray was identified through surveillance video.

Police said that Gray faces charges of robbery, theft, simple assault and harassment. He is awaiting arraignment, according the Clinton County Crimewatch page.Phone scam

Residents report scams

DUNNSTOWN -- Two incidents involving two victims getting scammed by an unknown suspect was reported to Woodward Township Police on March 9. According to police, a suspect caller claimed they were from Amazon and told the victim they had an outstanding balance on their Amazon account.

The other victim reported a scam involved a Woodward Townhship resident getting a call stating that the individual was calling on the behalf of Publishers Clearing House and if the resident went to CVS Pharmacy and purchased gift cards, they would win 2.9 million dollars and a 2021 Mercedes Benz, police said.

Disorderly conduct

DUNNSTOWN -- A complaint involving disorderly conduct was reported to Woodword Township Police on Mar. 9.

According to police, several young boys were caught trespassing on the railroad bridge over Farrandsville Road and were throwing ballast stones off of the tracks at passing vehicles.

Police arrived on the scene within minutes of the call and found no one in the area.

One-vehicle crash

SPRING MILLS -- A one-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Rockview on March 8.

According to police, a 2012 Subaru Forrester being driven by Nancy Royer, 61, of Spring Mills was involved in a one-vehicle crash along state Route 45 in Potter Township, Centre County.

No injuries were reported.

Two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN-- A two-vehicle crash took place along state Route 287 in Mifflin Township, Lycoming County, involving a Lock Haven driver.

According to police, a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by Austin Bennett, 25, of Muncy, was involved in a crash with a 2003 Honda Civic being driven by Amanda Fuller, 19, of Lock Haven. Bennett was transported to UPMC Williamsport by Susquehanna EMS for treatment of an injury. Fuller was transported UPMC Williamsport by Jersey Shore Area EMS for treatment of a serious injury.
