DUI alleged
WILLIAMSPORT -- Brad Smith, 30, of Lock Haven, was charged with under the influence after a state trooper stopped his pickup truck near East Third Street and Westminster Drive at 1:45 a.m. on Sept. 20.
Police said Smith crossed the lane designator three times in a mile.
Smith admitted consuming a few beers at a local bar, police said.
Drug arrest
BELLEFONTE -- A drug arrest was made at Rutter's convenience store in Bellefonte on March 8, state police at Rockview report.
According to police, state police officers observed two wanted individuals inside the convenience store. Police arrested Trever McMullen, 32, of Bellefonte for possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
Charges are pending through magisterial district justice 49-3-02.
The incident took place around 1:24 p.m., police said.
Crash disables vehicle
BLANCHARD -- A one-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Rockview on Feb. 28.
According to police, a 2017 Hyundai Elantra being driven by Susan Caris, 59, of Mill Hall, was traveling westbound along Ridge Crest Drive just before the intersection with N. Eagle Valley Road. Police say that Caris failed to negotiate a left turn in the road and hit a large pile of rocks. The Elantra came to rest along the right side of the roadway and sustained disabling damage as a result of the crash.
Caris was not hurt in the accident.
One-vehicle crash
PLEASANT GAP -- State police at Rockview investigated a one-vehicle crash that took place on Feb. 26.
According to police, Terrence Sunday, 32, of Bellefonte, was traveling along Interstate 99 northbound in Spring Township, Centre County, when he lost control of his 1991 Chevrolet CK 1500 and struck a guiderail on the right-hand side of the roadway. The vehicle then jumped the guiderail and traveled for an additional 75 feet before coming to rest.
There were no injuries reported in the crash, but the vehicle was disabled as a result.
The accident took place around 5:50 a.m.
Car crashes, leaves scene
SPRING MILLS -- A one-vehicle accident was investigated by state police at Rockview on Feb. 26.
According to police, an unknown vehicle was traveling in an unknown direction along Paradise Road in the area of Big Oak Lane in Penns Township, Centre County. The vehicle struck the guiderail and then left the scene without reporting the crash.
Police say the accident took place around 10 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft of motor vehicle
UNIONVILLE -- State police at Rockview investigated the theft of a motor vehicle that had allegedly taken place in Unionville Borough, Centre County sometime between Jan. 15 and Feb. 20.
Over the course of the investigation, police determined that it was a civil issue.
Two-car crash
STATE COLLEGE -- A crash occurred between two vehicles on I-99 South in Patton Township at 5:15 p.m., on Feb. 17.
Kristen Goodfellow, 27, of Tyrone, was traveling southbound in the left lane, following Dennis Root, 60, of Lemont. Goodfellow allegedly merged into the left lane due to emergency lights about a half-mile down the road. According to state police at Rockview, Root slowed down to allow other vehicles to merge. Goodfellow allegedly hit Root and she came to a final controlled rest on the right shoulder.
Root was pushed into the center median as result of the crash, where it came to a final uncontrolled rest. Goodfellow sustained disabling damage to her car as a result of the impact and Root sustained minor damage.
Neither operator reported any injuries, according to police.
Stolen vehicle
BELLEFONTE -- A traffic stop along Interstate 80 eastbound in Spring Township at 9:43 a.m. on March 6 resulted in the discovery of a stolen vehicle, state police at Rockview report.
Police say that Mohamadou Touray, 29, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested for stolen property after state police at Rockview discovered he had a false registration of the vehicle.
According to police, both the operator and a passenger were taken into custody.
Two-vehicle accident
WINGATE -- A crash occurred on South Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township at 11:50 a.m. on Feb. 11.
According to state police at Rockview, the crash occurred near the Bald Eagle Elementary School.
Neither driver was identified by police, who said a Toyota Rav 4 was backing out of a parking spot when the vehicle struck a legally-parked Dodge Ram 1500.
Police said damage was minor to both vehicles.
