Drug possession
BELLEFONTE -- At 11:49 p.m. on April 10, a traffic stop was conducted by state police at Rockview on South Eagle Valley Road/Sams Drive in Boggs Township.
According to police, the operator of a 2004 Cheverlet Silverado, a male, 24, of Pottersdale, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
DUI alleged
BELLEFONTE -- At 5:20 a.m. on March 28, a traffic stop was conducted by state police at Rockview on I-80 East in Boggs Township.
According to police, while conducting the traffic stop of a Nissan Versa, the operator, a male, 41, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., was found to be under the influence of a drug. Investigation is ongoing.
Alcohol-related crash
RAUCHTOWN -- At 4:41 p.m. on March 23, a car crash was investigated by State Police at Rockview on Pine Mountain Road in Crawford Township.
According to police, the operator of a 2015 Harley-Davidson FXD, Timothy Yost, 49, of Mill Hall, was traveling west on Pine Mountain Road where he failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway and traveled off the left side of the roadway and hit an embakement.
He allegedly then traveled up the embakement before coming to a final rest in a field. Police said he was under the unfluence of alcohol and suffered an injury to his head as a result of the crash, but refused treatment from the responding EMS.
Minor injuries in accident
BELLEFONTE-- At 11:19 p.m. on April 12, a crash was investigated by state police at Rockview on Jacksonville Road/ Forest Avenue in Marion Township.
According to police, the operator of a 2005 Toyota Prius, Jonathan Gomez, 30, of Brooklyn, NY, was traveling west on Forest Avenue while another driver of a 2000 Cheverlet Silverado, Terry Biggans, 51, of Bellefonte, was traveling north.
Gomez allegedly came to the "T" intersection with Jacksonville Road, stopped at the sign and proceeded to turn left when Biggans struck him at its 5 o'clock position. Gomez allegedly then proceeded forward striking the guiderail. Gomez came to a final rest in contact with the guide rail partially in the southbound lane while Biggans came to a final rest of the eastern side of Jacksonville Road.
Gomez reportedly sustained minor injuries by EMS but was not transported. Biggans reportedly sustained no injury. Assisting on the scene were Bellefonte Fire Department, Bellefonte EMS, Pleasant Gap EMS, and Rich's Amoco.
No injuries in crash
BELLEFONTE -- At 11:24 p.m. on April 11, a crash was investigated by state police at Rockview on I-80 East in Marion Township.
According to police, the operator of a 2018 Peterbilt SP construction vehicle, Randy Busi, 62, of New Alexandria, was traveling east on I-80 in the area of mile marker 162, left the roadway and ran into a ditch due to poor construction road conditions, and then traveled into a concrete barrier causing disabling damage to the vehicle.
No injuries were reported. Eagle Towing and Bellefonte Fire Police assisted on the scene.
