Police news – April 28
BELLEFONTE — At 8:45 a.m. on March 26, State Police at Rockview investigated a death along Institution Drive in Benner Township. The deceased was a 67-year-old Bellefonte man, according to police.
The death was the result of natural causes, police said.
TROUT RUN — A PFA violation was investigated at 9:09 p.m. on April 25, according to state police at Montoursville.
According to police, the violation took place at 717 Bakers Road in Cogan House Township, Lycoming County. According to police, Dawn Lefever, 39, of Jersey Shore violated a PFA against a 40-year-old male.
Following the investigation, Lefever was arrested.
LAMAR — At 12:45 p.m. on April 24, state police at Lamar investigated a case of found property and drugs at the Flying J Travel Plaza, 5609 Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township.
According to police, drugs were found at the Flying J Travel plaza. Police report finding a small glass container with a crystal-like substance inside. That investigation is ongoing.
Driving under the influence
McELHATTAN — At 9:34 p.m. on April 23, state police at Lamar investigated a DUI at the intersection of McElhattan Drive and Youngdale Road.
According to police, Logan Wool, 26, of Jersey Shore, was traveling at 100 miles per hour in a 65 miles per hour zone and almost struck another vehicle going down the exit ramp.
Wool allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at the end of the ramp and then pulled into the Bald Eagle Truck Stop using the exit lane. He came to a stop in the parking lot and was promptly taken into custody for DUI and was transported to UPMC Lock Haven, according to police.
