LOCK HAVEN — According to the Lock Haven Police Department’s Facebook page, it has received several fraud/theft complaints regarding gift cards.
Police say that if someone text or emails you and asks you to purchase any gift cards then send pictures of the codes, this is a scam. The emails or texts will appear to come from someone you know but it’s not really them. The most common gift cards requested are Google Play and Apple.
MILL HALL — A one-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Lamar on April 27.
According to police, Alyssa Simmons, 20, of Loganton was traveling South on Back Lane, a paved, one-lane roadway. Police say that Simmons lost control of her 2005 Subaru Legacy and struck s metal trailer. Following that impact, she continued on, hitting a tree and a wood pile. She then traveled North on Skaar Lane before making a left turn onto Creek Road.
Police say that Simmons fled the scene heading South on Creek Road. She was cited for the crash, police said.
PLEASANT GAP — A case of driving under the influence was investigated by state police at Rockview on March 28.
According to police, Preston Lanager, 30, of Pleasant Gap, was stopped in a 2001 Toyota van at the intersection of East College Avenue and Markle Street in Pleasant Gap.
The incident took place around 12:37 a.m. Lanager was arrested for DUI.
BELLEFONTE — A case of driving under the influence was investigated by state police at Rockview on April 18.
According to police, a 20-year-old Bellefonte man was stopped in his 2006 Jeep Cherokee at 1:19 a.m., at the intersection of Plum Grove Lane and South Eagle Valley Road in Union Township, Centre County.
The investigation continues.
BELLEFONTE — During a traffic stop on April 8, state police at Rockview noticed that the driver was under the influence and his passenger was in possession of methamphetamine.
Ryan Dullen, 35, of Blanchard and Lacy Eisemann, 25, of Mill Hall were taken into custody.
Police said that the traffic stop occurred at the intersection of South Eagle Valley Road and Mattern Lane around 11:46 p.m. It was discovered the driver was DUI and that a passenger was in possession of methamphetamine, police said.
HOWARD — State police at Rockview were called to the scene of a one-vehicle crash at 4:44 p.m. on April 27.
According to police, Thomas Bowes, 77, of Howard was traveling north along North Eagle Valley Road in his 2008 Toyota Tundra, hauling a Kubota tractor when the trailer began to sway and Bowes lost control of his vehicle. He applied his emergency brakes, but the truck began to spin and dumped the Kubota, police said.
