Theft investigated
SALLADASBURG -- A case of theft was investigated by state police at Montoursville on May 14.
According to police, a 27-year-old Jersey Shore woman reported fraudulent activity on her debit card. A total of $500 was charged for a resort and $63.40 at a restaurant.
The incident took place at 9:58 p.m., police said.
Two-vehicle crash
JERSEY SHORE -- A two-vehicle accident was investigated by state police at Montoursville on May 17.
According to police, a 2015 Subaru Forester being driven by Martha McMonagle, 62, of Jersey Shore, was traveling West on Middle Road in Limestone Township. A 2009 Nissan Rogue being driven by Cynthia Hamberger, 72, of Lock Haven failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the passenger side of the Forester.
Both vehicles sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported in the 2:22 p.m. crash. Police were assisted at the scene by the Nippenose Valley Volunteer Fire Company and King's Garage.
Hamberger was cited for her role in the crash.
Vehicle stolen
LOCK HAVEN -- The Woodward Township Police Department is investigating the theft of an automobile.
According to police, sometime between 5:05 p.m. on May 17 and 9 a.m. on May 18, someone stole a 2003 Chevy Tracker from the parking lot of Woodward Automotive, located at 105 Woodward Ave.
Police say the vehicle is owned by a family from Avis and was in the shop for some mechanical repairs.
Criminal mischief
MILL HALL -- The Woodward Township Police Department investigated a case of criminal mischief that took place along Cottage Lane sometime between May 15 and May 18.
According to police, a gate across the entrance to Cottage Lane along Farrandsville Road was damaged. The owner of the property reported the damage.
Contraband investigated
BELLEFONTE -- State police at Rockview investigated a case of contraband that took place at SCI-Rockview.
According to police, the incident took place around 3:30 p.m. on May 13. The victim was a 35-year-old Bellefonte man. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
Two-vehicle accident
JERSEY SHORE -- A two-vehicle accident was investigated by state police at Lamar on May 18.
According to police, a 2005 Ford Ecoline E150 being driven by Scott Wyss, 35, of Loganton, was traveling North along Rauchtown Road in Crawford Township, Clinton County. A 2005 Jeep Cherokee being driven by a 17-year-old male from Jersey Shore was traveling West along Groupe Road. As the Jeep Cherokee proceeded through the intersection, the vehicles collided.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Cherokee sustained minor injuries, police said.
Four-vehicle crash
LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP -- A four-vehicle accident was investigated by state police at Montoursville on May 17.
According to police, the crash took place along Interstate 80 Westbound. Police say that a 2015 Toyota Rav 4 being driven by Tamara Hornberger, 49, of Williamsport struck the rear of a 2015 Dodge Dart being driven by Herbert Fiocco, 42, of South Williamsport. The force of the collision forced a 2020 Hyundai Kona being driven by Julie Peters, 27, of Williamsport into a 2017 Hyundai Elantra being driven by Meagan Day, 25, of Jersey Shore.
The Rav 4 and Dodge Dart sustained disabling damage. The Kona and Elantra were driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported.
The crash took place around 3:47 p.m.
