Hit and run
MILL HALL -- A case of hit and run is being investigated by state police at Lamar on July 20.
According to police, a red sedan struck a 2011 Cadillac CTS in the parking lot of Weis Markets at Millbrook Plaza in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County.
The driver of the red sedan told Weis employees about the accident, but offered no information. There was a review of surveillance footage, but a license plate could not be seen.
There were no injuries in the hit and run crash, but anyone with information is ask to contact state police.
The incident was reported at 1:26 p.m.
One-vehicle crash
LOCK HAVEN -- State police at Lamar investigated a one-vehicle crash on July 8.
According to police, a 2002 Kia Sportage being driven by Shellie Kaler, 58, of Lock Haven was traveling North along state Route 664 in Woodward Township, Clinton County. Police say that Kaler lost control of the vehicle while rounding a right-hand curve and struck an embankment. No injuries were reported in the 7:39 p.m. crash.
The Sportage had to be towed from the scene by Jim's Auto and Repair.
Kaler was cited for her role in the crash.
Two-vehicle accident
FLEMINGTON -- State police at Lamar investigated a two-vehicle crash that took place on July 2 in Flemington Borough, Clinton County.
According to police, a 2004 Hyundai Sonata being driven by Jack Reese, 23, of Reedsville, was traveling South along High Street when he failed to stop for a stopped 2009 Toyota Tacoma being driven by Thomas Vilello, 65, of Lock Haven.
The Sonata was disabled and had to be towed from the scene in the 7:42 a.m. crash.
There was minimal damage to the Tacoma.
No injuries were reported.
Public drunkenness
RENOVO -- State police at Lamar responded to a report of public drunkenness that took place around 4 a.m. on July 10.
According to police, Noah Johnson, 21, of Mill Run, was causing a disturbance at the Sportsman's Hotel Restaurant and Bar located at 127000 Renovo Road. Upon arrival, PSP took Johnson into custody for public intoxication. Charges were filed through district court.
Harassment
RENOVO -- State police at Lamar investigated a case of harassment that took place on July 9 along Sixth Street in Renovo Borough.
According to police, a 51-year-old Renovo woman was struck by a blunt object, causing injury.
The incident took place around 12:15 p.m.
Retail theft
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar investigated a case of retail theft that allegedly took place at Sheetz along Hogan Boulevard in Mill Hall on July 8.
Around 3:44 p.m., police received a report of a female stealing items from Sheetz. Upon further investigation, it was determined that no items were stolen from the store.
Theft
FLEMINGTON -- State police at Lamar investigated a case of theft that took place along Bressler Street in Flemington Borough on July 1.
According to police, someone stole a 16 horsepower PowerPro riding mower from a private residence. The mower belonged to Nevin Fillmore, 85, of Flemington.
The incident was reported at 7:41 p.m. The mower is valued at $200. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft by deception
MILL HALL -- A case of theft by deception was investigated by state police at Lamar on July 12.
According to police, someone applied for unemployment benefits in the name of Michelle Miller, 41, of Mill Hall. Police say that the woman did not suffer a financial loss from this incident.
The incident was reported at 4:53 p.m.
Theft by deception
FLEMINGTON -- A case of theft by deception was investigated by state police at Lamar on July 14.
According to police, someone applied for unemployment benefits in the name of Bruce Peters, 50, of Lock Haven. The person who filed the claim used Peters' Social Security number.
The incident was reported at 9 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft by deception
MILL HALL -- A case of theft by deception was investigated by state police at Lamar on July 16.
According to police, someone applied for unemployment benefits in the name of Adam Bechdel, 44, of Mill Hall.
The incident was reported at noon.
Theft by deception
JERSEY SHORE -- A case of theft by deception was investigated by state police at Lamar on July 7.
According to police, someone applied for unemployment benefits in the name of Tammy Lehman, 41, of Jersey Shore.
The incident was reported at 5:57 p.m.
Theft by deception
CASTANEA -- A case of theft by deception was investigated by state police at Lamar on July 23.
According to police, someone applied for unemployment benefits in the name of Ruth Wentzel, 99, of Millersburg.
The incident was reported at 1:16 p.m.
PFA violation
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar investigated a PFA violation that took place along Nittany Valley Drive in Porter Township on July 7.
According to police, Dawn Wingard, 49, of Millheim made two phone calls to a 53-year-old Loganton man. The man had a PFA against Wingard. Wingard was taken into custody for violating the PFA.
The incident was reported at 3:18 p.m., police said.
Firearm violation
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar investigated a case falsifying information on Aug. 3.
According to police, a 51-year-old Blanchard man falsified information in an attempt to purchase a firearm along Nittany Valley Drive in Lamar Township.
The incident was reported a little after 1 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
