Snow causes crash
BELLEFONTE -- State police at Rockview responded to a crash at Interstate 99 in Benner Township.
According to police, the operator of a Chevrolet Silverado lost control on the wet, snowy roads, causing them to spin approximately one full revolution and struck the guide rail off the right side of the road with its 7 o'clock position on March 9.
The operator regained control and came to a controlled final rest off the right side of the road, police said in their report.
The operator was not injured during the crash, however, their vehicle sustained minor damage during the crash.
A PennDOT guide rail sustained minor damage as a result of the crash. They were notified of the damage, according to police.
One-vehicle crash
LAMAR -- State police at Rockview responded to a crash at William Penn Highway at the intersection with Redbud Lane in Porter Township.
According to police, Bethanie Taylor, 30, of Huntington, was traveling too fast for conditions on March 9 and lost control of her Hyundai Elantra, sliding across the opposite lanes of travel before striking a guide rail and coming to a position of rest off the shoulder of the roadway.
Taylor was wearing her seat belt and was uninjured as a result of the crash, however she was charged with two summary traffic citations, police said in their report.
Slippery crash
HOWARD -- State police at Rockview responded to a crash at Walnut Street in Howard Township.
According to police, the 17-year-old operator of a Nissan Frontier was traveling north in a fog about to negotiate a right hand curve on the bridge at the aforementioned location on March 10. The bridge was covered in ice which caused the operator to slide out of control and strike the right bridge guide rail and bounced several times to an uncontrolled final rest, police said in their report.
The operator reported that he was wearing his seat belt during the crash and sustained minor injury.
Howard Fire Department, fire police and EMS assisted on the scene, and the vehicle was towed away by S&R Towing.
Crash
REBERSBURG -- State police at Rockview responded to a crash at Bull Run Road in Miles Township.
According to police, Steven Dunman, 64, of Urbandale, IA, lost control after approaching a right curve in the roadway, causing him to lose control of his Ford Explorer, crossing the roadway and striking a ditch, proceeded by a road sign where he came to a final rest.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
Kuppel's Towing, Loganton Fire Company, Miles Township Fire Company, Penns Valley EMS and PennDOT assisted on the scene.
Marijuanna possession
BELLEFONTE -- A 17-year-old Bellefonte girl was arrested at the Bald Eagle High School at South Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township for possessing a small amount of marijuana.
The juvenile was arrested on Feb. 22 by state police at Rockview and was suspended from the school.
ID theft
REBERSBURG -- Jennifer Bartlebaugh, 37, of Madisonburg, was the victim of identity theft.
According to state police at Rockview, Bartlebaugh reported that an unknown actor(s) changed the bank account information for her unemployment in February.
Criminal mischief
HOWARD -- A 34-year-old Howard woman was the victim of criminal mischief after the side mirrors of her Ram 1500 and Nissan Pathfinder were found damaged while parked along East Main Street in Howard Township.
According to state police at Rockview, a canvas of the neighbors and local Uni-Mart was conducted on March 5 and the investigation is ongoing. Several doorbell ring cameras are being utilized to aid in the investigation, however no leads have surfaced, police said in their report.

Drug paraphernalia possession
MILESBURG -- David Gericke, 27, of Milesburg, was charged with drug possession at Mill Street and Smith Street in Milesburg.
State police at Rockview were assisting Centre Probation with a home a visit on March 1 and found multiple items of drug paraphernalia.
Charges are pending.
