Accidental shooting
KETTLE CREEK — State police at Lamar were called to Mids Lane, Leidy Township, Clinton County on May 22 for an accidental shooting.
The incident occurred at 6:40 a.m. and it was determined by police that the involved party was at his cabin attempting to remove a magazine from his Walther P22 pistol (.22 caliber) when the firearm accidentally discharged.
As a result, a single round was fired through the back of his left hand causing damage to the index finger, police said.
Medical professionals at UPMC Williamsport examined the injury and the man was released at about 11:50 a.m., pending surgery in the near future, police said.
Police said no signs of foul play were noted during the course of this investigation.
Deceptive home improvement practices
BEECH CREEK — State police at Lamar are investigating deceptive home improvement practices involving a known male suspect, whose name was not included in the report.
The alleged incident occurred on April 29. More details will be released once available, police said.
DUI
LOGANTON — An Upper Montclaire, N.J., woman was taken into custody following a traffic stop along Interstate 80 East near milemarker 192, Greene Township, state police at Lamar said.
The woman, whose name was not listed, was stopped in her 2022 BMW 330 Sedan for traffic violations when, upon investigation, it was determined she was driving under the influence of a controlled substance, police said.
Charges pending blood results.
Harassment
LAMAR — Robert Allan Andrus, 68, of Mill Hall, was cited for harassment following an incident in along Wetzel Road in Lamar Township, Clinton County on March 20, state police at Lamar said.
Police were called the residence at 11:14 p.m., where Andrus is accused of striking a 40-year-old woman from Mill Hall in the face with the back of his left hand, knocking her to the ground, police said.
Found property
LOGANTON — State police at Lamar found multiple items along East Valley Road, Greene Township, Clinton County on March 29.
The items recovered were a brown/red Coach hand purse containing miscellaneous, a Connecticut Birth Certificate for Rena Caron, Social Security card for Rena Caron and a Connecticut drivers license, police said.
Multi-vehicle crash
RENOVO — The driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Impala suffered possible injuries following a multi-vehicle crash along Huron Avenue, Renovo, Clinton County on May 20, state police at Lamar said.
At 11:26 a.m., Elizabeth M. Lunger, 81, of North Bend, was traveling west on the roadway when it drifted to the right side of the road and struck a 2021 Ford F-150XLT, driven by Joseph G. Rosamilia III, 32, of Renovo, and an empty 2000 Ford Ranger which were legally parked, police said.
Lunger then traveled west and struck a 2007 Ford Ranger, driven by Steven R. Stone, 65, of Renovo, who was attempting to park, police.
When police arrived on the scene all vehicles were parked, police said.
DUI alleged
MILL HALL — A 26-year-old Mill Hall woman may face DUI charges following a traffic stop along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County, state police at Lamar said.
Police pulled over the driver, whose name was not list, in her 2012 Nissan Frontier on May 21 at 2:08 a.m. It was determined during the stop that the driver was under the influence of a controlled substance, police said.
The driver consented to chemical testing and charges are pending lab results.
One-vehicle crash
LOGANTON — Heavy rain contributed to a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 East near milemarker 186.5, Greene Township, Clinton County on May 20, state police at Lamar said.
Rebecca L. Reber, 44, of Auburn, Pa., was traveling east on the roadway in the left lane when she lost control of her 2004 Jeep Liberty due to heavy rain, police said.
Reber lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway, striking an embankment and causing disabling damage, police said.
Reber was transported o UPMC Lock Haven by Flemington Goodwill Hose EMS for suspected minor injuries and her vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
Assault
MILL HALL — On May 18 at about 11:17 a.m., a 17-year-old Lock Haven male allegedly punched a 15-year-old Mill Hall male multiple times in the cafeteria at Central Mountain High School, Keystone Central Drive, Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County, state police at Lamar said.
According to police, a 16-year-old Lock Haven female was hit during the altercation, police said.
The 17-year-old was arrested for simple assault and harassment with charges filed through district court, police said.
Harassment
LOGANTON — A 17-year-old Jersey Shore male was arrested and charged for harassment after continuously calling a 16-year-old Loganton female repeatedly after being told to stop, state police at Lamar said.
The incident occurred on May 20 at 2:45 p.m., police said.
Overdose
SPRING MILLS — State police at Rockview were called to a home along Lower Georges Valley Road, Potter Township, Centre County for a reported overdose, police said.
The incident occurred on May 9 at 2:55 a.m. with the patient stabilized on scene, police said.
No drug paraphernalia was located at the scene, police said.
$300 theft
LOCK HAVEN — A trail camera, solar panel and more valued at $300 was stolen from a property along Cider Press Road, Lock Haven between April 23 and May 21, Woodward Township Police said.
According to police, the unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s bank barn and removed the camera and a 4×3 foot solar panel, two brass wall mounted lamps and siphoned one to two gallons of gasoline from lawn mowers along with two gallon plastic gasoline containers.
Criminal mischief
LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police reported two incidents of criminal mischief in the city on May 21.
The first took place between 12:26 a.m. and 12:55 a.m., when someone put a substance in a door lock in the 400 Block of South Highland Street which prevent the lock from opening, police said.
The other incident occurred between 8 p.m. on May 21 and 7:30 a.m. on May 22. According to police, someone damaged a vehicle parked near West Clinton and Liberty streets. The rear windshield wiper was ripped of the vehicle and the license plate was bent, police said.
Stolen property
LOCK HAVEN — James Spicer, 27, of Lock Haven was arrested and charged with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly taking a package off a porch in the 500 Block of East Church Street at about 12:40 p.m. on May 20, Lock Haven City Police said.
Spicer was taken into custody and arraigned by District Judge Frank Mills. He remains in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.
