Freed is alleged to have carried on a sexual relationship with a Williamsport student from 2015 through this past April, according to state police.

He was arrested on over 30 felony charges for the allegations, which were filed Monday.

Following his arraignment before District Judge Christian Frey, Freed was released on $175,000 intense supervised bail. He will be required to wear an ankle monitor at all times. He is also prohibited from having any contact with the victim or unsupervised contact with any minors.

Freed was hired as a math teacher at Williamsport Area High School in 2011 and became secondary special education coordinator for the district in 2015. Freed was also assistant principal at Jackson Primary, and most recently served as ninth-grade principal, according to the school district’s website.
