Strangulation and assault
BEECH CREEK — Richard Dreisbach, 46, of Beech Creek, was arrested for strangulation along Grahams Lane in Beech Creek recently.
According to state police at Lamar, Dreisbach strangled a 42-year-old woman, of Beech Creek, during an altercation on July 18. Dreisbach allegedly grabbed the victim with both hands by her throat and began squeezing. The victim also told police that Dreisbach punched her in the face, causing her to fall backward and strike her head, police said in their report.
Dreisbach was located at the residence and taken into custody.
Judge John Maggs set bail to $10,000 monetary, which Dreisbach was unable to post. He remains incarcerated at the Clinton County Correctional Facility, according to police.
Crash with injury
MILL HALL — State police at Lamar responded to a crash along state Route 220 in Bald Eagle Township.
According to police, the crash occurred at 8:26 p.m. on July 17 as Dylan Proctor, 29, of Lock Haven, was traveling in the left lane in a Toyota Corolla and attempted to turn into the right lane. The roadway was wet due to heavy rain and Proctor was allegedly driving too fast, police said.
When Proctor turned into the right lane, his vehicle lost traction and began sliding towards the south berm, police said in their report.
He was unable to gain control of the vehicle as it traveled off the highway, striking a ditch, police said. After striking the ditch, Proctor slid for approximately 60 feet in a half moon shape up an embankment, according to police.
The vehicle came to a final stop just off the south berm of the highway, facing north.
A passenger in Proctor’s vehicle, Tierra Johnson, 23, of Lock Haven, allegedly sustained minor injuries, police said.
PFA violation
MILL HALL — Michael Bingaman, 30, of Mill Hall, was the victim of a PFA violation along South Parsons Drive.
State police at Lamar investigated this incident which reportedly occurred between April 14 and April 22.
Crash
LOGANTON — State police at Lamar responded to a crash along Rauchtown Road in Greene Township.
According to police, the crash occurred at 3:24 p.m. on June 7 as Steven Merryman, 51, of Jersey Shore, attempted to negotiate a left turn and lost control of his Nissan Sentra. He allegedly drove across both lanes of traffic and into a telephone pole located off the west berm, police said.
Merryman continued north where he came to a stop partially in the south berm, according to police. He was not injured as a result of the crash.

DUI
CASTANEA — Dawn Hennessy, 46, of Lock Haven, was arrested for DUI along state Route 220 near South Hanna Street in Castanea Township, State Police at Lamar said.
According to police, a traffic stop was conducted on Hennessy after she allegedly violated several traffic violations on June 18.
During the stop, Hennessy displayed signs of impairment and had the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath, police said.
Police then conducted a field sobriety test. Hennessy displayed indicators of impairment and was taken into custody, police said.
Charges for DUI and related traffic offenses were filed at MDJ 25-3-01.
