Home improvement fraud
ROTE -- Cody Daniel Shane McHenry, of Lock Haven, was taken into custody on Feb. 23 for home improvement fraud after taking $21,340.38 for construction on a victim's house without ever completing the work or returning the money, according to Mill Hall Police Department.
McHenry is the owner of McHenry Roofing and Construction, according to police. He engaged in a contract with the victim, where in-turn, they gave McHenry the money with two credit cards and a personal check, police said.
In addition to the home improvement fraud, McHenry faces felony counts of theft, theft by deception, theft by failure to make required disposition of funds, deceptive or fraudulent business practices, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities and corrupt organizations, police said.
McHenry was lodged in the Clinton County Correctional Facility and the charges were filed at District Judge John Maggs's office.
Child abuse
LOGANTON -- Children and Youth received a report indicating a 3-year-old male juvenile, of Lock Haven, was a victim of child abuse in Loganton Borough, according to state police at Lamar.
The incident of abuse occurred between Jan. 1, 2014 and Dec. 31, 2020, police said.
Harassment
LOGANTON -- Evelyn Bright, 38, of Bethlehem, was charged with harassment after she made unwanted physical contact with a male victim, 52, of Bethlehem, in the area of 784 N. Mill St. in Greene Township on March 24, according to state police at Lamar. The victim was notified of his rights as a victim via the issuance of a Victim Rights Guide, police said.
The arrestee was charged with harassment through District Judge John Maggs' office.
Found drugs
RENOVO -- State police at Lamar responded to a report of found drugs along 7th Street in Renovo Borough on March 29.
Police recovered what was suspected as methamphetamine from the location.
Harassment
LOCKPORT -- A 30-year-old man, of Lock Haven, was cited for harassment after he engaged in a physical altercation with his girlfriend, 22, of Lock Haven, on March 28, according to state police at Lamar.
Police responded to the apartment belonging to the arrestee and victim, at 127 Woodward Ave. in Woodward Township.
It was reported the victim was shoved and spit on by the arrestee who left the scene prior to police arrival.
A non-traffic citation was filed through District Judge Keith Kibler's office.
Harassment
LOCKPORT -- A 22-year-old woman, of Lock Haven, and a 30-year-old man, of Lock Haven, were arrested after a domestic incident occurred along Woodward Avenue in Woodward Township on March 29, according to state police at Lamar. Charges of harassment are pending.
Theft by deception
BEECH CREEK -- A 73-year-old woman, of Beech Creek, was the victim of theft by deception when $410.70 was stolen from her EBT card account through access device fraud on March 13, according to state police at Lamar.
Harassment
LAMAR -- A 24-year-old woman, of Porter Township, was charged with harassment which took place at a school bus stop along Oak Street in Porter Township, according to state police at Lamar.
The arrestee harassed a 12-year-old male juvenile, of Loganton, and a 10-year-old male juvenile, of Lock Haven, police said.
Neglect of care
WILLIAMSPORT -- Lamar Crime Unit is investigating allegations of neglect of care of a 69-year-old man, of Lock Haven, along Adele Road in Loyalsock Township, according to state police at Lamar.
The incident occurred between Feb. 1 and Feb. 22.
Drug possession and DUI
BELLEFONTE -- Saige Simon, 27, of Bellefonte, was arrested during a traffic stop, at West Lamb Street and North Spring Street, after he was found in possession of illegal drugs and related paraphernalia while driving under the influence on March 15, according to state police at Rockview.
