Possession of
methamphetamine
LOCKPORT -- Lori DeWald, 57, of Lock Haven, was arrested on a bench warrant for a violation of a controlled substance -- methamphetamine -- on May 19, according to Woodward Township Police.
DeWald is currently incarcerated in the Lycoming County Prison for a probation violation, police said. She was transported to Clinton County Prison for arraignment, police said.
Bad checks
RENOVO -- Karen Mace, 42, of Renovo, was charged with five counts of bad checks, amounting to $1,216.41, between April 4 and April 12 at 150 5th Street in Renovo, according to Renovo Police Department. With incurred fees, Mace owes $1,549.78, police said.
Mace has failed to pay the owed amount after being notified of the bad checks, police said.
Theft of lawn mower
RENOVO -- A Husqvarna four wheel drive self propelled push lawn mower, valued $400, was stolen from a 35-year-old man, of Renovo, from his residence along Ridge Road in Noyes Township on May 12, according to state police at Lamar.
Police are investigating.
Indecent assault of minor
LOGANTON -- Between May 1 and May 9, state police at Lamar responded to a child welfare report of an indecent assault of a 4-year-old female juvenile, of Lock Haven, along South Street in Loganton Borough.
Crash with injury
LOGANTON -- Dalton Johnson, 21, of Jersey Shore, crashed his 1999 Mazda B2500 along North Mill Street in Greene Township after failing to negotiate a left curve, driving straight into a guide rail, according to state police at Lamar.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage to its front portion and the front seat passenger of the vehicle, a 16-year-old female juvenile, sustained minor injury, police said. She was transported to Lock Haven Hospital via Goodwill Hose Ambulance.
Theft of bad checks
LOGANTON -- State police at Lamar responded to Scenic Ridge Foods in Loganton for two incidents involving bad checks.
One of the checks was returned for insufficient funds in the amount of $171.76 on Feb. 9.
Police responded to another incident of bad checks at Scenic Ridge on April 6, involving a check valued at $47.62. The investigation is ongoing for this incident.
Theft of bad checks
LOGANTON -- Between April 13 and May 5, a check belonging to a 35-year-old man, of Loganton, was altered and attempted to be used to steal $5,522 from his personal bank account in Logan Township, according to state police at Lamar.
The bank stopped the transaction from going through and the victim did not suffer any monetary loss, police said. Police are investigating.
Marijuana possession
MILL HALL -- A 16-year-old male juvenile, of Mill Hall, was charged with drug possession when he was found with both a THC vape pen and a nicotine vape pen at the Central Mountain High School at 64 Keystone Central Drive in Bald Eagle Township, according to state police at Lamar.
Theft from motor vehicle
RAUCHTOWN -- Between April 5 and April 6, $1,000 was stolen from the inside of an unlocked 2011 Ford F-350 belonging to an 83-year-old man, of Jersey Shore, while it was parked at his residence along Rauchtown Road in Crawford Township, according to state police at Lamar.
Crash with injury
LAMAR -- Russell Abrams, 67, of Ypsilanti, MI, sustained minor injuries after crashing his 2015 Chevrolet Express into a guide rail along Interstate 80 in Porter Township on May 13, according to state police at Lamar.
After striking the guide rail, Abrams tried to correct his vehicle but oversteered, abruptly causing it to rollover while its towing trailer dislodged, police said. The trailer carried momentum and slid across the top of the guide rail and came to a stop, straddling the guide rail, police said.
The vehicle came to a final stop on the right shoulder of the roadway on its passenger side with the front facing westbound, police said.
Abrams was transported to Lock Haven UPMC via Goodwill Hose Ambulance for suspected minor injury. Tressler's Towing and Nittany Valley VFD also assisted on the scene.
Found property
SLATE RUN -- A black plastic tote, filled with numerous items, was found in the middle of State Route 414 near Cammal, McHenry Township in Lycoming County on May 12, according to state police at Lamar.
Anyone missing the items and can identify the contents, is asked to contact state police at Lamar at 570-726-6000.
Accidental death
ROTE -- State police at Lamar patrol and crime members responded to 149 Earl Lane in Lamar Township for an unresponsive one and a half-year-old on May 12. They were pronounced dead on the scene after life saving measures failed, police said. The investigation showed the death was accidental, police said.
