Assault with a deadly weapon

NORTH BEND -- Paul Brown, 71, of Renovo, was arrested for threatening a 53-year-old Renovo woman with a shotgun at 139 11th St. in Renovo Borough, according to state police at Lamar.

Between 9 p.m. and 11:19 p.m, Brown and the victim engaged in an altercation at 440 Farwell Ave. in Chapman Township, police said.

Brown pointed a shotgun at the victim, causing her to flee to the residence in Renovo Borough, police said.

Brown then came to the Renovo residence where he attempted to gain entry by force with a chisel, police said.

Brown was apprehended and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.

Crash with injury

McELHATTAN -- Peter Sterndale, 64, of Marstons Mills, Mass., was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for suspected injuries after crashing a 2019 Jeep Cherokee into a guide rail along state Route 220 in Wayne Township, according to state police at Lamar.

At 9:31 p.m. on June 4, Sterndale was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of the highway and nearly collided with oncoming traffic, police said.

The vehicle left the roadway, striking the guide rail and causing disabling damage, police said.

Sterndale reported suspected minor injuries and his vehicle was towed from the scene by Martin Motors.

Disorderly conduct

ROTE -- A 45-year-old Mill Hall woman was the victim disorderly conduct that took place alongn Hospitality Lane in Porter Township on June 3, according to state police at Lamar. The investigation is ongoing.

Theft of funds

HUBLERSBURG -- A 79-year-old Howard woman was scammed out of $150 by an unknown person from a money loaded to a prepaid card on May 13, according to state police at Lamar.

Corruption of minors

LAMAR -- State police at Lamar crime unit received a Children and Youth report of a 10-year-old female juvenile, of Loganton, who was the victim of corruption of minors on March 1.

According to the report, there were inappropriate pictures found on the victim's iPod, police said.

DUI

BELLEFONTE -- A 41-year-old Pleasant Gap woman was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs during a traffic stop along Interstate 99 South in Benner Township on May 25, according to state police at Rockview.

The investigation is ongoing.

Theft

BELLEFONTE -- Between 3:35 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. on May 30, two suspects -- a man and a woman -- stole two items from the Valley Ace Hardware store at 224 Old 220 Road, Milesburg, in Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview.

The suspects stole an LED flashlight, valued $99.99, and a Bushnell backtrack D-tour GPS, valued $99.99, police said.
