BELLEFONTE -- The Centre County District Attorney's Office has been alerted of a scam circulating in Centre County. Residents are receiving phone calls appearing to originate from our main office number, 814-355-6735.
The male caller identifies himself as County Detective Ralph Ralston and then demands a return call, according to a release from the DA's office.
The caller threatens that if the call is not returned and an interview completed, a bench warrant will be issued.
This appears to be a scam attempt, more than likely, to steal funds or personal information.
The Centre County District Attorney's office is asking residents to be mindful if they receive a call from its phone number, 814-355-6735. Please do not divulge personal information.
