Stolen vehicle
MILL HALL -- Between July 29 and July 30, a 2021 silver Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from a home along Kyler Avenue in Mill Hall Borough, according to state police at Lamar.
The vehicle bears a PA registration, KHN7453, and has the following stickers: an Ocean City, N.J., sticker on the rear passenger side window; a Penn State Nittany Lion sticker on the rear driver side window; and a "W" for Wildcats on the rear windshield, police said.
Anyone with information regarding the stolen vehicle is asked to contact state police at 570-726-6000 and ask for Trooper Fusco.
Crash with deer
McELHATTAN -- Kevin Mauck, 61, of Blanchard, crashed a 2022 Hyundai Elantra into a deer while trying to avoid it along state Route 220 in Wayne Township, according to state police at Lamar.
The deer came onto the roadway at about 6:02 p.m. on June 15 when Mauck struck it, according to police.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage to its front end and was towed from the scene by Showcase Towing. No injuries were reported.
Alleged assault of a minor
LOCKPORT -- State police at Lamar investigated an incident of child abuse in Woodward Township on June 4.
During the investigation, bruises were allegedly found on the buttocks of the victim, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
