Multi-vehicle crash
BEECH CREEK -- A multi-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Main Street and Monument Orviston Road in Beech Creek Borough causing injury to one of the vehicle's passengers, according to state police at Lamar.
At 6:21 p.m. on Aug. 4, a 16-year-old, of Howard, was struck by a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Jeffrey Schlegal, 58, of Mifflintown, as she was turning onto Monument Orviston Road in her 1998 Buick Century, according to police.
Schlegal struck the front passenger side of the Buick, where Chase Monks, 18, of Mill Hall, was sitting. The impact caused the vehicle to spin counterclockwise, police said.
While spinning, the vehicle was struck again by a 2016 Kia Sorento driven by Arlene Stephens, 57, of Blanchard, police said. She was traveling south on Main Street prior to the crash.
Before coming to a stop, the 16-year-old operator struck the Buick into a 2008 Ford F-250 Supercab driven by Richard Page, 45, of Beech Creek, who was pulled up to a stop sign on Monument Orviston Road, police said.
Monks was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for minor injuries, police said.
Both the Buick Century and Kia Sorento were towed from the scene.
Crash
LOCKPORT -- Woodward Township Police responded to a crash in the area of 93 Shirk Hollow Lane in Woodward Township, where a 2012 White Nissan Sentra suffered mechanical failure.
At 9:10 p.m. on Aug. 4, the driver, Alicia Dudak, 26, was traveling southbound when the vehicle suffered mechanical failure, causing it to stall on an upwards incline and roll backwards off the roadway, police said.
The vehicle allegedly rolled off the west side of the roadway, across a small ditch and struck a PPL Electric utility pole wire and ground anchor, police said.
After PPL responded and stabilized their equipment, the vehicle was removed with only minor body damage, police said. No injuries were reported.
Retail theft
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar responded to the Mill Hall Walmart at 167 Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township for an alleged retail theft incident on Aug. 4.
A non-traffic citation has been filed through District Judge John Maggs' office.
Hit and run
LOGANTON -- A hit and run incident is being investigated by state police at Lamar where an unknown driver struck a telephone line with a vehicle along East Valley Road in Greene Township on Aug. 6.
A power outage took place in the immediate area thereafter, according to police.
Harassing communication
LOGANTON -- State police at Lamar were dispatched to a residence along East Valley Road in Greene Township for alleged harassing messages which were sent from an unknown individual over Facebook Messenger on Aug. 6.
Police are investigating the incident.
Traffic stop yields contraband
RENOVO -- A 58-year-old man and a 51-year-old man, both of Renovo, were pulled over for a traffic stop at the intersection of Huron Avenue and 15th Street in Renovo Borough on Aug. 4 where indicators of criminal activity were observed by state police at Lamar.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and contraband was seized, police said.
Charges will be filed through District Judge Frank Mills' office.
Lost/missing firearm
RENOVO -- State police at Lamar received a report of a lost Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 caliber handgun at 15094 Renovo Road in Noyes Township on Aug. 4.
The handgun is black in color with a full magazine, containing six full metal jacket cartridges inserted into the firearm and is in a black nylon holster, according to police.

DUI and suspended license
BELLEFONTE -- A 34-year-old man, of Lock Haven, was arrested for driving under the influence during a traffic stop at the intersection of state Route 220 and South Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township, state police at Rockview said.
At 6:47 p.m. on Aug. 5, the arrestee was stopped for passing illegally on Unionville Pike, police said. He was allegedly found to have a suspended, expired and recalled license, and had been drinking, police said.
He was arrested for DUI and taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center for a blood draw, police said.
Charges are pending test results.
