ID theft
MILL HALL -- State police at Lamar is currently investigating an incident of identity theft taking place in Bald Eagle Township.
According to police, between May 2 and June 8, 2023, an unknown actor used a 75-year-old Mill Hall man's identity to take out a $20,000 loan in the victim's name.

Simple trespassing
CROSS FORK -- State police at Lamar responded to a report of someone trespassing on private property on Stewart Hill road in Leidy Township on September 18, 2023 at 11:12 a.m.
The victim was a 69 year-old man of Cross Fork Pa., police said.
Harassment, physical contact
LAMAR -- On September 18, 2023, at 3:37 p.m., state police at Lamar responded to a disturbance on a school bus.
Through an investigation it was determined that a juvenile had struck another juvenile (10, male, of Lock Haven) while riding the bus, and when the Bus Aid stepped in (Waukera Burkey, 53, of Jersey Shore) she was also struck by the juvenile, police said.
Neither the victims nor the juvenile's parents wished to pursue charges, and the suspect was removed from the bus and given alternate transportation home, police said.
Two vehicle crash
MACKEYVILLE -- State police at Lamar responded to a two vehicle crash taking place on Interstate-80 measuring 250 feet east of Rag Valley road.
According to police, Karen Y. Wyckoff, 67, of Bolivar, N.Y. driving a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox and David Liegey, 54, of Frenchville, Pa. driving a 2015 Ram 1500, were both traveling in the left-hand lane.
Police said Wyckoff did not slow down and struck Liegey's vehicle at its rear position with the front end of the Chevrolet Equinox, causing disabling damage to Wyckoff's vehicle and minor damage to Liegey's vehicle.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, and Wyckoff was transported to Jersey Shore Hospital for further evaluation, police said.
Tresslers Towing, Lamar Township Fire Department and Goodwill Hose Co. 21 assisted on scene according to police.
