MILL HALL -- Mark Morocko, 58, of Renovo, succumbed to fatal injuries as a result of a motorcycle crash after striking a deer along Renovo Road in Bald Eagle Township, according to state police at Lamar.
At 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 17, Morocko was operating his 2000 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic along Renovo Road when a deer entered the roadway, police said.
Morocko was unable to avoid the deer, striking its hind end with the 12 o'clock position of his motorcycle, police said.
Morocko continued westbound, at which time, the motorcycle went down onto its left side and slid about 20 yards, police said. He crossed over the double yellow center line and overturned onto its right side, throwing him from the motorcycle, police said.
Morocko was allegedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police reported.
Lock Haven Fire Department, Goodwill Hose Ambulance and Showcase Towing assisted on the scene.
